Palo Alto, CA—Gospel Trip, Report 6
February 2
This past Saturday evening, we had the wonderful opportunity to speak with around 70 South Bay Area young people about the training. We spoke on coming into the church life, the training schedule, lessons learned in the training, and the reasons why we decided to give ourselves to serve the Lord by attending the Full-Time Training. The responsible brothers felt to take this opportunity because unlike the young people in Southern California, they are less exposed to the training. The time concluded with the young people splitting into junior high and high school for overflow from reading The Living and Practical Way to Enjoy Christ. It was truly a watering and mutually-encouraging time.

Today, we learned again that the work is the Lord’s and not ours. Our job is primarily to cooperate by praying. This morning, before the saints going out to the community left, a woman came to the Palo Alto meeting hall, inquiring if it was a church. A young Brazilian woman, she had been looking for a church and had been feeling lonely and isolated. A sister quickly and earnestly shared to this woman that she was home. She had found the church. After inviting her to pass out gospel tracts and later to lunch, she felt very comfortable with the sisters and wants to come this Lord’s Day. Praise the Lord!
Prayer Burdens:
- Pray the Lord would meet His own need by bringing a full-time serving team to Stanford and Palo Alto.
- Pray for the formation of the two’s and three’s as contacting groups for the follow-up of the student and community contacts.
- Pray and praise the Lord for the fostering of the next generation in the Lord’s recovery, particularly in the South Bay.
