Cincinnati, OH—Gospel Trip, Report 3
The past few days have been full of opportunities to enter into the homes of the saints and new ones. Many of the students that we are in contact with have strong backgrounds in Christianity. However, the saints here are exercised just to fellowship with these ones in a normal way. “L” is one such student. His family has lived on their farm in a rural community outside Cincinnati for over 200 years! L and his family are satisfied in Christianity, yet they also love the saints! They hosted the college meeting this past weekend at their farm and the time was filled with mutuality and enjoyment. Please pray we may join the saints here in contacting such typical Americans in a normal and open way.

We are continuing to enter into the homes and the campus labor in Cincinnatti. Every night, the trainees have split into twos and threes to attend home meetings at the homes of different families. A number of newer students have been joining these times. It is encouraging to see these ones enter into the homes, as the homes are key to the growth in life of the students contacted here. Please pray for the continued strengthening of the homes in Cincinnatti.
Some trainees also had the opportunity to present a brief message at the weekly on-campus Bible study. There were a few new students who came because of our GTCA flyers! This was a valuable opportunity for us to see how the saints here have adapted the style of the Bible studies to best care for the wide variety of students in attendance. A critical challenge facing the saints here is how to best labor given their very limited resources. Adapting the Bible study to suit the needs and conditions of the students has been a key strategy in addressing this issue. Please pray for the Lord’s continued leading in how to most prudently labor on this campus and that He would bring in more saints and a full-time team according to His timing.
Cincinnati, OH—Gospel Trip, Report 1
A burden for the trainees here is that we would strengthen the saints through fellowship and visitation. Over the past three days, the trainees have been splitting up and entering into the daily lives of the saints in all kinds of ways, from cheering on a couple’s son at his elementary school basketball game to attending a rock-climbing lesson at a brother’s attic. Please pray that the trainees would continue be an encouragement and supply to the saints in such normal ways for the strengthening of the Lord’s testimony in Cincinnati.
Today was our first day entering into the campus labor at the University of Cincinnati. We distributed 125 flyers and contacted 29 students for the Wednesday on-campus Bible study. With fewer saints and no full-time team, the saints in Cincinnati are less burdened for gaining additional contacts and more burdened that the trainees would participate in caring for existing contacts. May the Lord open the way for us to be effectively integrated into the existing labor of the saints on this campus!
