On our fifth and sixth days in Vallejo, we continued door-knocking in the community and tabling at both the extension campus of Solano Community College and at a local Walmart. Together with the local saints, we gave out 140 tracts, 79 Bibles, and had 82 solid conversations which resulted in 15 people praying to receive The Lord! We believe it’s all by the Lord’s mercy!

We have been very encouraged by the labor of the local saints in the community. Because of their persistence, many sons of peace have been released into the Kingdom of our God. The Lord is multiplying men like a flock within Vallejo.

On February 3, we spoke to the dean of the extension campus of Solano Community College. It turns out she is also a pursuing Christian and she even asked for a Recovery Version and was supportive of our having a Bible study on her campus! After that, we had the privilege of going to Berkeley to blend with some of the saints there. As we explored the streets we were stopped by a doctorate student who began to chat with us about her city. We took this as an opportunity from the Lord to preach the gospel to her and even prayed over her. Although she didn’t pray with us, we’re confident hearing the name of Jesus sowed some seeds in her heart.

On February 4, in addition to further door-knocking and tabling, we joined with some local saints for follow-up appointments with contacts at two homeless shelters in the community. Though we weren’t able to reach one of the contacts, the receptionist working at the shelter was open to reading a portion from the gospel of John and was very thankful to receive a New Testament study Bible. We are thankful the Lord is gaining all kinds of people for his testimony in Vallejo!

Prayer burdens:

  • Pray for a strong continuation on the follow-up of the open contacts.
  • Pray for five solid families will be gained through door-knocking and tabling for His testimony in Vallejo.
