Pittsburgh, PA/ Morgantown, WV—Gospel Trip, Report 7
February 6
In the morning, trainees and the local saints met for coordination. We set a goal to have more conversations with students rather than to merely pass out tracts and Bibles. Then we went to West Virginia University where we tabled for three hours. Our main goal was to invite students to the dinner and Bible study that evening. Many students showed interest and signed up. One of the students whom we met the day before even stopped by the table to confirm the event for that night. The dinner and Bible study was held on campus, and some of the local saints joined. Eight students came and there were interactions between the students and the local saints. Three of the eight stayed for the Bible reading and fellowship time. We read a portion from John 1:19-51 and many, including the three new students who came, shared. The time was very sweet. Among the eight students who came, four students seemed to be promising regular students to come to future Bible studies.
February 7
We had our last day of tabling on campus and succeeded in handing out our set goal of Bibles. In the evening, there was a Bible study in the home of a local saint. One student came and enjoyed the time, even praying with the saints at the end of the time. Since there was already a connection made between the students and local saints, the trainees went to Barrackville instead to visit some saints there. We had dinner and heard of the history of the church in Morgantown. The saints were encouraged to have trainees over at their home and the trainees were encouraged by the saints going on in Morgantown. It was the sweet time of mutual encouragement.

Richmond, VA—Gospel Trip, Report 7
We praise the Lord for the time He gave us in Richmond! Over the past two weeks, we participated in a blended work of fellowship, prayer, care, and coordination on six different campuses in Virginia, with 31 saints coming from different parts of the east coast, (not counting the eight trainees.)
During the second week of the trip, we split up into two teams and visited the saints in Newport News, Virginia Beach, and Charlottesvillle. It was a joy to eat the Lord, fellowship, pray and labor with them! We came back to Richmond on Thursday night and enjoyed a college meeting filled with flowing rivers of water of life! On Friday we had follow up appointments and various home meetings with new students. Our week ended with a young people’s singing time on Saturday evening. The YP brought two friends who came for the first time. We were very encouraged by how much these young people love to sing to the Lord! Even their friends were ushered into the enjoyment. One of the friends exclaimed “Hallelujah!” after we declared the line: “Drink! A river pure and clear!”
Thank you all for your prayers during this time! We were all richly supplied throughout the trip, and the Lord really brought in His blessing.

Minneapolis, MN—Gospel Trip, Report 7
Friday, February 7
Today was our last day of coordination. We gathered in the campus house with a few community saints for a time of singing and corporate morning revival. Afterward, we had a time of prayer over each one that came to the seminar, the ones that came to the table yesterday, and the appointments today. A number of us took a trip to Minnehaha Falls, a waterfall in Minneapolis. In the evening, we split into two groups for the young people’s meeting and a board game night with the college students.
Saturday, February 8
This morning we gathered in a home to pray for our community outreach time with the saints in Minneapolis/Brooklyn Park. A few trainees had appointments with students as well. After the time of enjoying the Lord, the trainees and saints headed out in eight groups around the neighborhood to knock on doors and hand out free New Testament Bibles. Many who answered the doors warmly received a Bible from us and spent a few minutes to talk to us in spite of the cold. We ate lunch and went ice-fishing with the saints after our morning door-knocking time. In the evening, a few trainees joined the Chinese-speaking home meetings, as well as student H, one of our contacts who has come to almost every event we have held since week one.
Statistics:
- Door hangers: 176
- Bibles: 15
- Contacts: 22
Lord’s Day, February 9
We had a joint table meeting with the churches in the surrounding areas at the meeting hall of the church in Brooklyn Park. We are those learning to exalt Christ, giving Him the preeminence in all aspects of our daily lives and service. There was a love feast after the meeting and it was a very sweet time of blending with the saints. After the meeting, we split for some activities in the afternoon with the college students: exploring the city and sledding in the fresh snow. In the evening, we gathered together at the campus house for our last fellowship. We reviewed our contacts, ensuring our most responsive ones were connected to the local saints, and pointed out a few things we could have improved on. We are grateful the Lord gave us this opportunity to learn and to serve with the saints in Minneapolis. It was a privilege to be a part of the Lord’s move at the University of Minnesota and in the city.
Prayer Burdens:
- Pray for the follow-up appointments with the most responsive students that were contacted
- Pray for a full-time team for the University of Minnesota
- Pray for a meeting hall for the church in Minneapolis

In addition to many follow up appointments on campus, the team has also spent a lot of time with the local saints, young people (YP), and college students. On Thursday night the team shared their testimony with the YP concerning how they pursued the Lord when they were YP. This was followed up by a question and response time by the YP.
On Friday night, the team shared their testimony with the college students concerning how they got to the training and what lead them to the training.
