Fresno/Clovis, CA—Gospel Trip, Report 1

January 29, 2019

During the last four weeks of the Fall term and the interim break, the team had the opportunity to pray once a week for prayer burdens given from the saints in Fresno and Clovis.

These prayers included:

  • That the Lord would release the saints to participate
  • For there to be a club on the campuses
  • That the team and the local saints would learn to care and shepherd the new ones
  • That there would be “one work”
  • Bible studies to further the contact with the new ones

Arriving in Fresno, the team had the opportunity to blend with the families in their hospitality. That afternoon they attended a young people’s meeting where there was dinner, singing, and fellowship. The trainees were asked to share a five-minute testimony to the young people about their salvation and experience in the training. Three high school seniors were also able to share how they were kept in the church life during their high school years. Both testimonies included pursuing with those.

Prayers request for the team:

  • That the Lord would enlarge our hearts for people
  • That we would be blended and knit with the local saints
  • That the Lord would prepare us much more during this time to enter in

Burnaby, Canada—Gospel Trip, Report 1

January 29, 2019

We arrived yesterday at the Burnaby meeting hall and had coordination with local campus full-timers and responsible brothers for the GTCA Burnaby. After that, we attended a visitation training last night with around 200 saints from all over the Lower Mainland. It was encouraging to see so many saints who have a burden to go and visit. We have more than enough who signed up for visitation, so the brothers decided to have the Vancouver and Surrey saints visit the dormant saints in their locality. The rest of the localities were assigned to different groups to contact dormant saints in Burnaby.

We will hold two gospel meetings at SFU on January 31 and February 7. We will start handing out invitations and Recovery Version Bibles to seeking students in the next two weeks. We will also visit dormant saints in Burnaby with local saints.

Prayer Burdens:

  • Distribution of 3,000 Gospel Meeting invitations and Bibles at SFU
  • Two upcoming gospel meetings on SFU campus on January 31 and February 7
  • 30 new ones at SFU
  • 100 visitations to the saints in the Lower Mainland

We joined the young working saints’ meeting last night and overflowed from the previous visitation trainings (see picture below).

Pearland/ The Woodlands TX—Gospel Trip, Report 1

January 28, 2019

The first part of our time in Texas is in Pearland, the Southern part of Houston, and the next part is in the Northern part of Houston called The Woodlands. Pearland has been the fastest growing area in the United States in the past few years and the saints here are burdened to gain those in the community.

It has been encouraging to go door-knocking with the local saints and young people. This past weekend we visited over 200 homes with BfA door hangers, New Testaments, and rainbow booklets. The goal is to blanket the homes in these areas with the Word and reach all His chosen ones.

Prayer Burdens:

  • To initiate and encourage the local saints to enter into a community gospel living
  • To gain the typical American in the Houston area, specifically in the South district
  • For the Lord to continue speaking to those that received a Bible and ministry booklet, and for follow-up with the contacts made

Palo, Alto, CA—Gospel Trip, Report 2

January 28, 2019

The past three days we have been hearing much about the history of the church in Palo Alto and the labor at Stanford. There are about 70 saints on the Lord’s Day, with around 30 children. There has been a labor at Stanford for more than the past twenty years, but only as recently as last year has there been a feeling that the labor might be breaking through on the college campus.

Today was our first day of official gospel activity. We joined at least 10 community saints, with some saints joining from neighboring localities, to distribute Bibles in downtown Palo Alto. It was a joyous time just to be with the saints and begin to reach the Lord’s seekers in Palo Alto. In roughly two hours, we passed out 20 Bibles with two giving their information for further contact.

Prayer Burdens:

  • There are saints taking time off work and adjusting their busy schedules just to join us in the next two weeks. Please pray for positive contacts, open for shepherding, for the further encouragement of the local saints in their labor.
  • Please pray for the Lord to bring us to the sons of peace in the community and at Stanford who are hungry for the Word.

Jackson, MS/Birmingham, AL—Gospel Trip, Report 3

January 28, 2019

Today, we had the Lord’s Table meeting, prophesying meeting, and truth pursuit meeting with the saints in Jackson, MS. Praise the Lord, three new ones came to the meetings today! Among the three new ones, two were college students. Although this was their very first meeting, one of them shared and prayed in the table meeting and they both were smiling, very attentive to the sharing of the saints, and seemed to really enjoy the meetings. Now, they have been invited to a Thursday home meeting, which they have agreed to come. We are really excited and praying to the Lord that they would take the time to come and enjoy the Lord with us.

We heard from a local saint that one of the contacts who signed up at our table is willing to come and join us this Thursday at the home meeting. We are also praying for her and that she will be released from her schedule.

Tomorrow, Monday, we are scheduled to pass out door hangers around a neighborhood nearby the Jackson meeting hall. We hope that these door hangers will have a way to get into the homes of the truly seeking ones.

Prayer Burdens:

  • That the Lord will bless our sowing time during Monday at this neighborhood
  • That the Lord will release and bring these three new ones to the Thursday home meeting
