Everett, WA/West Richland, WA—Gospel Trip, Report 9

February 9, 2018

2/4/18
Today, we had our last Lord’s Day and prophesying meeting with the saints in Everett. During the prophesying meeting, the saints expressed their appreciation of our team’s presence there the past week, and the blending that took place during our stay. We believe the Lord really had an opportunity to supply the members in this locality through this trip, and we too were supplied and refreshed by them. This was our last day in Everett before our departure the following day.

2/5/18
Today, we left Everett in the morning and arrived at West Richland in the afternoon. The saints received us at West Richland with a warm welcome, and then allowed us to settle down in our hospitality. In the evening, we gathered at a local saint’s home for dinner and fellowship. At this home, the saints have a small building connected to a garage where the saints meet throughout the week. We were able to meet some of the saints, fellowship, and enjoy the Lord together before the week began.

2/6/18
Today, was our second day in West Richland, and we went out to distribute Bibles in Kennewick, one of the tri-cities. We headed to the downtown area to see if we can reach the public. There were not that many people walking around, but there were cars driving by on the small main road. We set up our table close to an intersection, as we were standing close to the intersection, we began to ask people if they would like a Bible as they drove up to the stop sign, and some began to receive the Bibles. We continued to do this, and by the end of our time there, we passed out 30 Bibles and 5 Basic Elements of the Christian Life. Praise the Lord, His word was able to get into these ones’ hands.

In the evening, after a coordination time with the team, we went to visit the saints in two homes in Richland. In the first home, we had dinner and fellowship, and in the second home, we read some of the ministry and fellowshipped further. Praise the Lord for the house-to-house church life in Richland.

Prayer burdens:

  • Pray for the Bible recipients. That they would open the Bible and be touched by the recovered truth.
  • Pray for the team, as we continue to go forth this week to preach the gospel and distribute Bibles. Some of our teams members got sick, and one of them is still recovering.
  • Pray that the Lord would thoroughly blend His Body together while we are here with the saints in Richland.

Bibles distributed: 30
Basic Elements of the Christian Life: 5

Yesterday, we had 20 new ones attending the Bible study; seven of these have been attending every Bible study and event, so they are the most responsive and open/seeking ones. Our prayer burden is for these seven to be connected to the church kids, community saints and to be able to continue to be taken care of. This coming Saturday we will have a cookout at a saints’ home to try to connect the students with the church kids and community saints.

There has been a wonderful gospel effort in Folsom in the last several days. All the saints are eager to spread the truth and shepherd the seeking ones into the church life. There have been Bible distribution tables at various public venues and a college campus every day since February 3. Many saints have taken time off work to join in the distributions, which has been very encouraging to the team. We have passed out 417 tracts, 97 Bibles, and six have prayed to receive the Lord.

Last night, we had a seminar at the Folsom Community Center, in which one Muslim student prayed to receive the Lord.

Prayer Burdens:

  • For the saints to persevere in prayer and shepherding of new contacts, and that some could be added to the church life in Folsom.

On Saturday, was the BfC seminar in Windsor. We had five new contacts attend, one who received a Bible at the seminar. Overall, throughout the week we contacted 153 people, 149 of them received Bibles. 280 tracts were handed out and 19 contacts prayed to receive the Lord. Three contacts had second appointments and three families were visited, two of those families were visited twice.

Our time in Windsor was so enjoyable! Also, on Saturday we had a blending time with the young people and college students. Saints from Leamington also joined. Many of those who participated in the Bible distribution, both the team and the local saints, shared on their experiences that they had this week. On Lord’s Day, a positive contact named A joined the Lord’s Table. He is very open to the saints.

This week we will be tabling at University of Toronto St. George campus and University of Toronto Mississauga campus.

Please pray for many open hearts, that the word of God would reach many students. Also please pray for the follow-up with the contacts in Windsor by the local saints this week.

Praise the Lord for what He’s doing in Southern Ontario!

Today, we went to Seminole State. We distributed 34 Bibles and tracts. We also had two follow-up appointments on campus with four contacts from last week’s Bible distribution.

In the first appointment, we had two students. They met with one trainee and one local sister. They were very opened. At the beginning they thought that we were teachers and were going to teach them something. We told them that we are not teachers and that we all learn from each others’ experiences of the Lord Jesus. They were very happy to hear that and that they were able to share as well. They asked many questions about who we are. They would like to have a second appointment and get into the books of Exodus and Acts. We thank the Lord that they were successfully connected with one of the local saints.

In the second appointment, we also had two students. T, who was contacted last week at the table, also brought her friend. They met with two trainees. T is not a Christian but she is an open minded person. However, her roommate, S, is a Christian and even had a study Bible. T shared how her mom is a believer. She is very open and would like to come to the college age meeting. This will be a good opportunity to connect them with the local saints.

Also, there was a couple and their daughter from Iran visiting the school. The father was the only one who spoke English. He was very open. At the end, one of the sisters was able to led him to pray and receive the Lord. Praise the Lord!

One of our highlights today was to see the saints with us at the table. There were three new saints who have not been with us at the table for the past week. That was very encouraging. Through this gospel trip the Lord is stirring up the spirit of the saints to rise up and function here in Orlando.
