Clovis/Merced/Madera, CA—Gospel Trip, Report 6

February 8, 2018

The saints gathered in the Fresno meeting hall at 9:30 A.M. for the Lord’s Table. A detailed report on the gospel for the past week, together with sweet testimony time from those who participated, encouraged the saints to spread the Word and pray. Before noon, about 30 saints went out for the gospel, both tabling and door-knocking.

The trainees were teamed up with local saints to visit some dormant saints. Through prayer and fellowship, the experience is both cherishing and fruitful. A brother, who did not attend the meeting for a few months, but his whole family was open for the saints to visit. The family really enjoyed the time, it was full of sweet fellowship and enjoyment. In the end, even the brother himself was encouraged to come back to the meeting to share with the saints his enjoyment.

Another house that was visited was a brother who has not meet for a year. By much interceding, he finally replied to the brothers and arranged a time for them to visit him. During the time, he was very much encouraged and ask the brother if he can get a weekly visit. Thank the Lord for seeking and finding the lost sheep.

Prayer Burdens:

  • The Lord would recover the dormant saints and free them from their anxieties
  • Pray for the table in the coming days in Fresno State and Fresno City College.

Clemson, SC—Gospel Trip, Report 2

February 6, 2018

During our week at Clemson University, we continued passing out Bibles and literature from a different spot on campus and experienced more positive interactions with seeking students. One excited freshman exclaimed when she met us, “I was just looking for a Christian club to join!” While door-knocking in nearby Simpsonville on day three, many doors and hearts were opened to us, including one family who had just moved into the neighborhood and started thanking the Lord for His timing in bringing us to their door.

Thank you Lord that eight new students attended the ice cream connect last week and three students showed up for the Bible study on Thursday. At the Bible study, a student came who received a flyer from campus because she was seeking for a Christian group. She enjoyed the time so much and even called the first song!

We also had the opportunity to go door-knocking with the saints in Simpsonville where we passed out over 200 tracts in two neighborhoods. We are praying that the Lord would add some more families to the church in Simpsonville as a result of the door-knocking and the radio station that plays the life-study of the Bible.

On our final day on Clemson campus we set up two tables, one on campus and the other off campus. Over the course of two hours, we passed out a total of 130 Bibles to very warm and interested students!

We are now in Athens, GA where we enjoyed a signing time with the students on Saturday, an enjoyable college meeting about witnessing on Sunday evening. On Monday, we joined the full-timers for a table on campus, where we passed out 32 Bibles and over 40 tracts.

Prayer burdens:

  • That there would be two remaining fruit for the club in Clemson to shepherd.
  • For good weather and lots of foot traffic for our second table on UGA campus on Tuesday.

Manassas, VA—Gospel Trip, Report 4

February 5, 2018

On Thursday Feb. 1, we had an opportunity to table at George Mason University during the day. Then in the evening we joined a college meeting with students and full-timer’s at George Mason University. We had such a sweet time of fellowship.

Our team arrived yesterday morning to Baltimore, Maryland. We had lunch and prayer with the local saints. Afterwards we visited Johns Hopkins University and distributed Bibles and tracts to students and even a few individuals from the surrounding community. We were able to pass out 33 New Testament English Recovery Versions in less than 30-degree weather. We also handed out 20 tracts.

Highlights:

  • We spoke to a student who was a Christian who at the time was reading through Revelation. We opened up the Recovery Version to Revelation 2:7, and the student was very impressed with the footnote about the Tree of Life and also the amount of footnotes that were there.
  • We spoke to another student, whom upon meeting said he had just started reading the Bible online because he had been seeking for direction but did not have a physical Bible. We gave him the Bible and spoke to him about Jesus being in his boat.

As a team we were really strengthened and encouraged with the conversations with students that we had even though it was very cold. They were willing to stop and engage in a conversation.

This Saturday we had coordination with the local saints and some saints that traveled from other areas in Baltimore to distribute Bibles in the community centers. One distribution team was at a grocery store and another was at a local farmers market. We distributed between the two locations 32 Bibles.

Prayer burdens:

  • Please pray that the Lord would go on and release what needs to be released for the saints to labor on the campuses in their retrospective cities. (George Mason University, Fairfax VA/ Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore/ University of Maryland Baltimore).
  • Please pray that the recipients of the Bibles would read the Bible, be open for further contact, and be connected with the saints in the area.

Lethbridge/Calgary, AB—Gospel Trip, Report 4

February 5, 2018

On February 1, we had another full day with the saints in Lethbridge! In the morning we had our coordination and a short storytelling workshop with the saints. In the afternoon, we worked together with one of the moms to prepare for a neighborhood children’s meeting at her house that evening. Her children both invited their friends and the saints brought their own children too. We had a wonderful time with the 18 children who came and a couple of the neighborhood moms wanted to know when we would do this again! After dinner, a couple of us went to visit some gospel contacts in their home.

Highlight: Our highlight was the neighborhood children’s meeting. We are very hopeful and excited for the children’s work here in Lethbridge!

Prayer burdens:

  • Please pray for some saints to really pick up a burden for the children’s work and to carry out regular neighborhood children’s meetings.
  • Please pray for the 10 neighborhood kids (and their families) who came to the neighborhood children’s meeting.
  • Finally, please continue to pray for the contacts we met on Wednesday at the University of Lethbridge, particularly for the ones who are open for further contact.

Everett, WA/West Richland, WA—Gospel Trip, Report 8

February 5, 2018

Today was our activity day, and so we had some corporate morning revival in the morning, and we went to the Whidbey Island. A sister from Olympia and a couple who lives in Whidbey Island joined us, and we very much enjoyed this time. Then in the evening, we went to the home meeting at a local saint’s home. We shared with them about our time with the contacts on Thursday and with the saints we prayed for this couple to be remaining fruit.

February 3
Today, we had lunch at the church house with the couple who lives there. Then, after truth pursuit, we had a meeting with the young people and the college students. About six young people and college students around the area came to spend time with us for dinner, singing, and fellowship. One college student mentioned that her goal is to come to the Full-Time Training. With her and another college student, we were able to share about opportunities to short-term at the Full-Time Training while they are in college.

Prayer Burdens:

  • Continual prayer for these young people and the college students that they would continue to grow in the Lord, receive the burden concerning the Full-Time Training, and even some would be able to short-term.
  • Continual prayer for our gospel contacts, especially the couple that we met on Thursday, that they would be able to make it to a Friday home meeting next week.
  • Please pray for a good conclusion in Everett and connecting the students with the local saints as we will depart to West Richland on Monday (2/4) morning.
  • Pray for the health of the trainees, two of us have been sick with a cold.
