Normal/Champaign/Peoria, IL—Gospel Trip, Days 11-13

February 9, 2017

Hope you are well, thank you for praying for us. Our hearts are full of praises and thanksgivings to the Lord. Praise Him for what He is doing in here in central Illinois!

In addition to tabling at Sam’s Club and Bradley University, we had two Bible studies this past Wednesday and Thursday. The fellowship on John 19 was very positive and encouraging. Around six students, including one new one came. The majority of the time, it was the students taking the initiative to share their enjoyment, even to shepherd and invite others to the Bible studies. We could foresee a core group of students slowly being formed at Bradley University. Hallelujah!

While at Sam’s Club, we met many people of various backgrounds with different stories; however, many of them were open to receive a new Recovery Version Bible. We hope that they would want to meet with us for further fellowship in the Lord.

Prayer Burdens:

  • Please pray for this afternoon’s door-knocking
  • The students that we are connected would take the next step in the church life, that there would be a solid home meeting formed and they would come to the church meetings
  • There would be more male contacts
  • More people in the community (young couples) would be added to the church
  • Adequate follow-up and shepherding of these new ones/contacts

Medford, OR and Yakima, WA—Gospel Trip, Days 11-12

February 9, 2017

Thank you all for your prayers for the gospel trip in Yakima.

On Wednesday, we had some recreation time with the saints. Then at night, we went to one of the saint’s house in Yakima and had a sweet blending time with the saints. After the love feast, we sang some hymns together and a couple of saints shared about the one new man and putting on the armor as the corporate warrior described in Ephesians 6. Following that, brother Mark shared with the saints about the universal and the local aspects of the church. Then, the trainees answered some questions about the training by the saints and also shared their testimonies of how they came to the training. The whole atmosphere of the meeting was very sweet and glorious!

On Thursday, we went to a nearby Walmart for tabling and Bible distribution in the morning. We set up two tables near the entrances, and some of the brothers from Spokane joined us for tabling! Although the weather was very cold, we enjoyed speaking with the sons of peace! We met one open family who moved from Anaheim to Yakima few years ago. We also met two young people who were open and positive, who also were youth leaders in their own church.

After lunch, we went to visit a co-worker of a local brother, who is also a sister that loves the Lord very much. Her husband was in a serious car accident and woke up from the coma not too long ago. She shared with us her testimony, how she trusted in the Lord in her husband’s recovery and how she stood for her faith against the persecution of her relatives. We sang with her family a couple of songs and also shared with her how our God is the God of hope. We also pray-read John 15:13 together. At the end, the sister was comforted and strengthened by our visitation. She was very happy we came.

Statistics:

  • Bibles: 40
  • Bible Order Cards: 9
  • Basic Elements of the Christian Life, vol. 1: 18
  • Gospel Tracts: 4

Prayer Burdens:

  • The Lord will continue to bless all those who received the Bible and release them inwardly and outwardly to come to the gospel meeting on Saturday
  • The Lord will bless the trainees and the local saints in Yakima with one accord, especially for their speaking in the gospel meeting

Lethbridge, AB—Gospel Trip, Days 11-13

February 9, 2017

We are full of thanksgiving and praising to the Lord for the pouring out of His blessing to the saints in Lethbridge. May the Lord continue to supply the saints in Lethbridge abundantly.

One newly saved sister was invited to one of the corporate morning revival times. While we were enjoying a hymn together, she asked a question. Each saint shared their portion and enjoyed related verses together with much overflowing. She appreciated being with the saints so much and the next day she invited the saints to her home. After having a home meeting at her house, her whole family joined the GTCA overflowing meeting.

During the GTCA Lethbridge overflowing meeting, both visiting saints and local saints testified that the Lord is moving in Lethbridge. We all were very shepherded by one another’s portions. Visiting saints, including trainees, were very thankful to the Lord for the brotherly love that the church in Lethbridge has, as well as for the simplicity of their heart for Christ and the Body in practicing the God-ordained way.

Now we are on the way to Edmonton, AB and we visited saints in Calgary. We also had an opportunity to share our experiences in Lethbridge with the saints in Calgary. With the saints in Calgary, we prayed for the church in Lethbridge and we all were encouraged to continue to pray and visit the saints in Lethbridge.

We will visit saints in Edmonton tomorrow (2/10/2017) to participate in the Lord’s works in this locality. Praise the Lord!

Prayer Burdens:

  • The saints in Lethbridge to go on in the Lord with much prayer and blending with saints in other localities
  • Gaining the maximum benefit for the Lord’s works in Edmonton, AB during the trip

Abbotsford, BC— Gospel Trip, Days 11-13

February 9, 2017

The Lord has been answering our prayers in Abbotsford, in His way and in His timing.

This morning, we enjoyed S.S. 7:11, “Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the fields; / Let us lodge in the villages” and Hymn #206, “O I am my Beloved’s, And my Beloved’s mine … I stand upon His merit; I know no other stand.” For various reasons, our natural strength has begun to run low, and today we acknowledged that we have no qualification to be here in the fields of Abbotsford other than the Lord’s merit. Praise the Lord that we are His, and He is ours!

On Monday night, what with all the changes in weather and corresponding changes in schedule, we felt it necessary to keep continuous watchful prayer from 7-10pm. Several of us prayed with our hospitality and the time was very enjoyable. After our night of prayer, our team was finally physically reunited (following several snow days of Skype coordination), and we have since been able to resume our door-knocking activities. Any difficulties we’ve come across have made our conversations with open ones even more precious.

Today, after distributing tracts and Bible seminar invitations at local businesses, we met seven new ones at our Bible seminar! We are very encouraged by their seeking hearts. Two of them, contact C and contact D, are coming to the gospel meeting this Saturday! Thank You Lord! Please pray for Him to bind any last-minute distractions/ cancellations.

Prayer Burdens:

  • The new contacts and recipients of our free Bibles and ministry materials
  • The gospel meeting this Saturday

Kalamazoo, MI and South Bend, IN— Gospel Trip, Days 12-13

February 9, 2017

In the recent two days, more and more saints from nearby localities arrived at Kalamazoo to participate in the Lord’s move. The gospel team continued the gospel work at West Michigan University and downtown Kalamazoo. The team was fully energized by the unceasing prayer, working in oneness and the excising of the Kingdom.

Wednesday, February 8th

Eleven saints set up the BfA Table in the West Michigan University campus, gave out 35 Bibles to the students, and received information for 22 contacts. Also, 10 saints preached the gospel by walking in downtown Kalamazoo, resulting in 13 new contacts and 24 Bibles being given out.

Thursday, February 9th

On the WMU campus, the saints continued the BfA/Christian On Campus table in the student center. Twenty new contacts were received and 35 Bibles were given out. Also 15 people, including 2 new ones participated the Bible study on campus.

In downtown Kalamazoo, due to the snow, we only received one new contact and gave out two Bibles. However, a considerable number of gospel tracts were distributed to the citizens.

Prayer Burdens:
This Saturday, more than 30 saints will join the gospel move in Kalamazoo. This will be the largest number of participation in this gospel trip. May the Lord bless all the saints who are coming, and cover every aspect of the gospel preaching on Saturday. May the Lord bless the local saints to build a relationship with the gospel contacts, practice the God-Ordained way to bear remaining fruit in the church life.
