Kalamazoo, MI and South Bend, IN— Gospel Trip, Days 9 - 11
The trainees moved to Kalamazoo, MI for the second part of this trip last Lord’s Day and enjoyed the Lord’s Table with the saints from Kalamazoo, South Bend and Grand Rapids.
Monday, Feb 6, 2017 The local saints took the trainees to have a brief visitation to West Michigan University and downtown Kalamazoo, which are the two venues that the gospel team will be spreading Bibles in this week. The gospel team prepared 334 Bibles, for the gospel move this week, on Monday evening.
Tuesday, Feb 7, 2017 The trainees and local saints formed two teams to spread the Bibles. Eight saints set up the BfA table at the student center of West Michigan University. The saints got 32 new contact information, and give out 32 Bibles. Six saints spread the Bibles in downtown Kalamazoo on foot and got 18 new contacts and give out 28 Bibles.
Prayer Burdens:
- Please pray for the gospel seminar on West Michigan University campus this Friday evening. May the Lord gain remaining fruit, especially the college students, through this seminar.
- Please pray that Lord would strengthen the local saints in South Bend and build up the solid relationships with the gospel contacts in South Bend.
Normal/Champaign/Peoria, IL—Gospel Trip, Day 10
Yesterday, we set out three tables around Bradley University and handed out 86 Bibles, 104 gospel tracts, and received 24 contacts. We feel that the Lord is really moving here in Peoria. Many came by the tables and asked for more information concerning what we do and where we meet. There are many genuine seeking believers here; we hope that they would be gained by the Lord and be added to His church for the building.
From the results of yesterday’s distribution, we noticed that there were many freshmen that came by the table and signed up to be further contacted, however, there were more women who stopped by than men did.
We look to the Lord for much wisdom and grace in following up with these contacts. Amen, saints, thank you for praying for us. The Lord be with your spirit; grace be with you.
Prayer Burdens:
- The Lord would draw many seekers to the Bible studies this Wednesday and Thursday, especially the freshmen.
- More male contacts
- The Lord would continue to strengthen each of the brother and sisters in Peoria/Normal for the rest of the week. Our beings would be open to Him and He will gain what He desires after us.
Lethbridge, AB—Gospel Trip, Days 9-10
Thank you so much for praying for us! We had the glorious first Lord’s Table in Lethbridge on 2/5/17. It was full of enjoyment and praises to the Lord. There were about 100 saints total including saints visiting from Calgary, AB, Edmonton, AB, and Regina, SK. All of the saints were very joyful for the first Lord’s Table after a number of years of fellowship and prayers. In the prophesying meeting, there was a rich overflow of life and many saints felt encouraged to freely share their enjoyment of Christ. Several saints who had never prophesied in a meeting before also shared their portion with “a little power” (Rev 3:8).
The next day, we had several appointments with new contacts. Some local saints and students were able to join us. Two of the new contacts joined a college meeting and got connected with the local college students in Lethbridge. There were also neighborhood children’s meetings and home meetings with new ones at two homes. We all enjoyed spending time together with much singing and fellowshipping.
Prayer Burdens:
- Local saints to continue to enjoy the Lord day by day and house to house for the normal growth in life after the first Lord’s table
- Continue to have follow-up appointments with new contacts and connect them with local saints and companionize them with local college students
- Inoculate the new contacts and our own young people and college students

Abbotsford, BC— Gospel Trip, Days 8-10
As one of our brothers shared on Lord’s Day, we’ve been dealing with many changes in our weather, but there are no changes in the direction of the Lord’s move today!
Over the past few days, Abbotsford has experienced record-breaking snowfall. On Saturday, we had 20 cm of snow; the previous record was 7.6 cm in 1957. The enemy may be trying to frustrate us, but as another brother reminded us, that just means we must be doing something right! We are learning to be flexible: to ensure safe travels, we moved the gospel meeting to next Saturday (2/11), instead of door-knocking this past weekend (2/4-2/5), we have been following up with contacts who previously received free Bibles and ministry materials through phone calls, and when the snowfall made travel too difficult/dangerous, we coordinated, read, and sang songs together over Skype.
Today (2/6), we were able to resume door-knocking activities! We knocked on 69 doors and distributed 61 tracts. In the responses of all our contacts, there have been varied levels of openness, but we are encouraged by our conversations with His precious seeking ones.
Highlights of our trip have included our time blending with the local saints. There has been much mutual shepherding, strengthening and encouragement, for the building up of the Body. On Saturday night (2/4), we re-watched Message Two of the Thanksgiving Conference. It reminded us that He is doing only one work today, the work of the building of the Body of Christ. Hallelujah for the Body, the masterpiece of God!
GTCA-Abbotsford First Week Statistics:
- 572 doors knocked and tracts distributed
- 171 recipients of the Bible and ministry books
- 112 recipients are open to receive further contact
- 3 prayed to receive the Lord
- 3 new ones came to our seminar
- 219 follow-up contacts from this year and last year
Prayer Burdens:
- The Lord would personally draw many to the seminar this Thursday at the Clearbrook Library.
- The Lord would cover every detail of the gospel meeting this coming Saturday, have a free way to flow, and release the salvation of our friends and gospel contacts!
- The Lord would operate the willing and the working in all of our follow-up contacts for their “much more” salvation.
Valdosta, GA—Gospel Trip, Days 1-2
The team has now transitioned from Clemson, SC to Valdosta, GA. We met with the church in Tallahassee to blend with the saints. The team, together with some local saints from Atlanta, Tallahassee, and Jacksonville is laboring in the campus of Valdosta State University.
Today was our first day of sowing, and the students are open to receive the Bible and Christian books. Students are just coming to our table. Our target number of Bibles to be distributed today was 60 copies. But because of demand, we gave out 120 copies of Bibles today. The students are hungry for the truth! A few of them even asked if we have a church in the area or a club on campus. As of now, there is no club established on campus nor is there a family with home that has picked up a definite burden to be a container for students to come in. This is our desperate need.
The team will continue to distribute Bibles for the next two days. Moreover, we hope that we could establish second appointments with the students who are open and told us that they are willing to meet.
Prayer Burdens:
- That the Lord will raise up at least one family with a home in Valdosta where the hungry seekers of the truth can find their nest.
- That there will be second appointments within the next two days with the students whom we met on campus.
