Ottawa, ON and Laval, QC—Gospel Trip, Days 9-10
Greetings from the saints in Montréal and Laval, Quebec, Canada! This past Lord’s Day, most of the GTCA Ottawa/Laval team traveled two hours to arrive in Montréal and Laval in the French-speaking portion of Eastern Canada. Two trainees and two serving ones stayed behind in Ottawa to continue the follow-up with our contacts. They will join us in Laval on Wednesday. Laval is a Canadian city north of Montréal and we will be distributing Bibles in the metro stations there this week.
Ottawa:
This past Lord’s Day, during the prophesying meeting, many shared concerning their experience from this past week. For many, this was their first time giving out Bibles. We were all encouraged to hear how they experienced the supply from the Lord and the supply from the other members. Even one high schooler, who is not saved, testified of being happy after passing out one Bible. Others testified of appreciating the Body in the labor. We had many different languages represented in the labor: English, Chinese, French, Korean, Spanish and Ukrainian. Some could not speak English or French, but were still able to function by passing out tracts and bringing students to the table. Some saints would pass out tracts, others would stand at the table and greet the students, and others would show the students how to use the Bible. It was a labor in the Body and in coordination. It reminds me of 1 Cor 14:31, “For you can all prophesy one by one that all may learn and all may be encouraged.”
Today the Ottawa team continued the follow-up labor. We had a drop-in Bible study from 10am to 3pm at Algonquin College. In total seven students stopped by to enjoy the Word of God with us. We went through various topics of the Bible to meet each one’s need. The students responded very positively and many are interested in attending a regular weekly Bible study. We plan to have one at 2pm to 3pm this Wednesday. In addition, we visited two families. Lord, gain these families for your testimony in Ottawa!
Laval:
On Monday, we spent the bulk of the day touring Montréal. We visited the top of Mount Royal and saw an overview of the city. We also visited old Montréal, downtown and McGill University. We are now more familiar with the area and ready to begin Bible distribution tomorrow.
Prayer Burdens:
- The Lord would bless the drop-in Bible studies and nourish the students with the Word
- The Lord would bring the contacts to the Bible Study at Algonquin this Wednesday
- The Lord would gain these two families for the Lord’s testimony in Ottawa

Folsom, CA—Gospel Trip, Days 10-11
Listen! Behold, the sower went out to sow. (Mark 4:3)
On Saturday (2/5/2017), around 55 saints participated in sowing activities in Folsom, with one team tabling at Walmart as well as several other teams door knocking in nearby neighborhoods. In the testimonies afterward, many of the saints shared that there were a lot of people who were not open but we are not discouraged! We just need to be faithful to sow the seeds, water the new ones, and the Lord will cause the growth! Although there were many who were closed, there were still some sons of peace! We contacted 49 people, gave out 28 Bibles, and 5 people prayed to receive the Lord!
Yesterday, we enjoyed the Lord’s Table in Folsom with around 50 saints and 20 children from all over California, from localities such as Modesto, Montebello, Sacramento and Millpitas. It was a very rich meeting! Much of the speaking was of the saints overflow and enjoyment of this past week’s GTCA activities!
For the remainder of the time, our attention will shift from sowing to following up with all the open contacts from the last week!
Prayer Burdens:
- We would have the adequate follow up this week
- Release the seeking ones to come to the home meeting on Thursday!

Normal/Champaign/Peoria, IL—Gospel Trip, Days 5-9
Praise the Lord for His move in central Illinois! Thank you for praying for us.
This past week was glorious. A good number of students from ISU and UIUC (115+) were open to be contacted and willing to have further fellowship. Overall, we handed out 1,000+ gospel tracts, 180+ Bibles, and 40+ ministry books.
Many on campus, as well as people in the community (Normal) were thrilled to have received the Recovery Version study Bible; furthermore, the local saints, including all the students, in Normal and Champaign and all the trainees were very much mutually encouraged this past week, Many of us could genuinely testify that the Lord was truly flowing amongst us. Many, if not, all of us were very cherished and supplied, humanly and spiritually, simply by being with one another. One accord is really the master key to all spiritual blessings.
This morning, the trainees from Normal and Champaign, gathered in Peoria for the Lord’s Table. This week, all the trainees are in Peoria carrying out gospel activities. We will be tabling at Bradley University & Sam’s Club and going door-knocking in the nearby neighborhoods. May the Lord continue to draw many people to Himself. He is the most attractive One in the universe.
Prayer Burdens:
- There would be the adequate follow-up with the gospel contacts at ISU, UIUC, and Sam’s Club. The Lord would be our wisdom in shepherding the contacts during the group time.
- Tabling at Bradley University and Sam’s Club this week (Monday-Wednesday)
- That the Lord will be sovereign over the weather for distributing Bibles

Medford, OR and Yakima, WA—Gospel Trip, Days 6-8
On last Friday (Feb. 3), we went to Crescent city and spent a day to blend with the local saints. After the love feast, we had some precious time to sing and fellowship with the saints.
On Saturday (Feb. 4) we drove all the way from Medford to Yakima, Washington. On Lord’s Day morning, we participated in a Spanish radio broadcast program with the local saints, and we spoke the good news to the whole Yakima valley. As a team, we mainly used the verse Matt. 4:4 and many personal experiences to show how to enjoy the word of God. We had the experience of bearing the one burden and speaking in one mouth for God. We concluded the radio program by singing the song, “I Am the Living Bread”.
Immediately after the radio broadcast, we drove to the city of Prosser for the Lord’s Day blending meeting. The saints from Prosser, Yakima and West Richland come together to blend on the first Lord’s Day of each month. We were so encouraged and supplied by many saints who were filled in Spirit and spoke in boldness for the Lord during the prophesying meeting.
In the evening, we had a blending with the local saints in Yakima. There were four families and several new ones joining us. One young brother stood up and testified that he was saved for about a year and that he very much appreciated the shepherding from the saints. Tomorrow, we will start to preach the gospel at Yakima Valley Community College and the nearby neighborhoods.
Prayer Burdens:
- Please pray for the blending and building between the English and Spanish speaking saints. May that the Lord gain the genuine oneness among the saints.
- Please pray for the gospel preaching on the campus and the neighborhoods. Especially, please pray for the gospel meeting on the coming Saturday at the Yakima Convention Center.
