Kalamazoo, MI and South Bend, IN— Gospel Trip, Days 7-8

February 4, 2017

February 3, 2017 The gospel team set up BfA Table in three venues, the Eddy Street Common outside the University of Notre Dame, the Flamingo supermarket, and the South Bend downtown. Also a group of saints attend their appointments with the college students in the IUSB campus. In total today we had five new contacts, and 7 Bibles were given.

At 6 PM this evening, the saints in South Bend held a gospel seminar at the conference room of the Martin’s supermarket near the UND campus. Brother Tim Knoppe from the church in Farmington spoke the message with the topic of “Unlocking the Bible”. About 43 people, including six gospel contacts attended this seminar.

February 4, 2017 Today is our last day of the gospel trip in South Bend. The team set up BfA tables at three venues, the Flamingo supermarket, Eddy Street Common near UND campus and downtown South Bend. Also nine saints went door-knocking on the community near the UND. Due to the weekend, the team didn’t have much positive response as last few days, but still gave out about 10 Bibles and knocked on about 50 doors.

This evening at 7 PM in the conference room of the Martin’s Supermarket near the UND, the FTTA trainees gave a fellowship and testimony to the local saints, especially to the young people about our experience in the Full-Time Training.

Prayer Burdens:

  • The gospel trip in South Bend is finished, but the Holy Spirit is still working in this city, especially the college campuses. May the Lord strength the local saints to continue their fellowship and shepherding with the people who we contacted in the past week.
  • May the Lord encourage the young people in the church life in this area to consecrate themselves to the Full-Time Training after the college.

Ottawa, ON and Laval, QC—Gospel Trip, Days 7-8

February 4, 2017

Have you found your human spirit? It is connected to your mouth. Hallelujah, Oh Lord Jesus! That is the way to let it out! On Saturday, Feb 4, many contacts found their human spirit and received the living God into their spirit! On Friday, many college students drank from the fountain of living water. Here are some verses that we have been enjoying these past few days:

  • John 4:13 “Jesus answered and said to her, Everyone who drinks of this water shall thirst again,
  • John 4:14 “But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall by no means thirst forever; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into eternal life.
  • John 4:24 “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truthfulness.

Also, there has been several opportunities for blending among the saints. On Wednesday night, three sisters visited a family to spend time with their son who is 4 years old. The sisters and the other saints also fellowshipped concerning their experiences of the children’s work and shared their burdens. On Thursday night, several trainees and college students visited three young people and their families. The young people consists of one 9th grader, one 11th grader, and one 12th grader. After dinner, they engaged in a variety of activities including talking around the table, playing board games and ice skating in front of the house. On Saturday morning, the saints went ice-skating on the Rideau Canal or toured the Winterlude festival in Ottawa.

Current statistics:

  • Tracts: 2,509
  • BfC Bible Offer Cards: 2
  • Bibles: 1,025
  • Basic Elements of the Christian Life, vol. 1: 980
  • Other BfC Ministry books: 642
  • Contacts >30 seconds: 956
  • Prayed With: 37
  • Second Appointment: 8

Praise the Lord for over 1,025 Bibles sown in Ottawa! On Friday we finished our last day of Bible distribution and we had several appointments with contacts. By the Lord’s covering, we were still able to distribute Bibles at Algonquin university. Thank you dear saints for your prayers to keep this campus open. Lord, may your word continue to run at all three campuses!

That Friday evening, we gathered at a local community center with the college students and two new ones. We thoroughly enjoyed singing many songs concerning drinking the Lord. We also read the 1st chapter of Basic Elements of the Christian Life, vol 2 concerning the matter of pray-reading. Lord, may the college students learn to pray-read Your word in the morning!

On Saturday evening, Bibles for Canada had their Bible seminar concerning the Key to Experiencing Christ - the Human Spirit. Nine new ones came to this time and heard about our human spirit and how it can be used to contact God. During the break-out session after the presentation, several new ones prayed to receive the Lord.

Prayer Burdens:

  • The Lord would bless the Bible studies next week
  • The Lord would strengthen and supply the saints to follow up with the positive contacts
  • The Lord would guard the new ones and usher them into the church life

Morgan Hill and Gilroy, CA—Gospel Trip, Days 6-8

February 4, 2017

Praise the Lord, we have finished the first week of the gospel trip. The Lord has really blessed Morgan Hill and Gilroy with many seeking ones who are open for further contact. We had a good number of students attending the college meetings on Thursday and Friday, and today we had a wonderful door-knocking time with around 40 Bibles given out and about 17 contact cards. Then tonight, we had an enjoyable seminar with quite a few new ones come to join us with very positive response.

Enjoyment:
We have been really enjoying this quote, “When a person is graced with being part of one of God’s special moves on this earth, it is the greatest blessing of his life. God’s move makes an impression that he will never forget, and it becomes an unending source of supply to him. Whoever can participate in such a flow is most blessed. I believe that whenever someone who was in such a flow thinks back on it, he will have fond memories of that time. It is a great blessing for a person to be able to participate in the flow of God’s work, the flow of revival, at least once in his lifetime.” We are so privileged to be part of the Lord’s move.

Gospel Activities:
We will be heading to San Luis Obispo to blend with the saints there for the next three days. The saints are burdened for us to get to know the students and share our experience in the training. We are really looking forward to meet with the students and share our wonderful experience of the training.

Prayer Burdens:

  • Pray that the Lord will bless our times with the students at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo
  • The Lord will connect the new students with the local saints in Morgan Hill and Gilroy
  • The Lord will cover our tripartite being with unending source supply for His move on this earth

Lethbridge, AB—Gospel Trip, Days 6-8

February 4, 2017

We went out set up the BfC (Bibles for Canada) table at University of Lethbridge and we distributed 52 Bibles and received contact information for 14 contacte, twice as much as the last two days in campuses. Local saints and college students participated and it was a great experience for the saints and students to have the spirit of gospel preaching. We plan to follow up with the new contacts by phone and make face-to-face appointments with them. Thank you saints for your prayers!

One of the new contacts came to the Bible seminar and the local students spontaneously functioned to take care of the new one. He is found to be a seeking one and was very happy to, “meet believers who strongly rely on God.”

The trainees prepared for the young people and college students’ meeting and shared about developing intimate fellowship with the Lord by redeeming the time to become consecrated ones. About 40 college students and young people came and enjoyed and functioned in the meeting by encouraging one another. We also had an opportunity to have a sweet time with the students, having morning revival together and had an outing together for blending.

The local saints have been very encouraged by visiting saints from Calgary and other localities, feeling that we all are one Body. Meetings at the local saints’ homes with new ones are being held almost everyday and all the meetings have been very living and enjoyable. Before having the first Lord’s Table on February 5th, 2017, all the saints got together for fellowship with visiting responsible brothers about the Lord’s Table meetings.

Prayer Burdens:

  • The first Lord’s Table in Lethbridge and the local saints to continue steadfastly in the teaching and fellowship of the apostles in the breaking of the bread and the prayers (Acts 2:42).
  • Gaining 14 contacts from the Bible distribution as remaining fruit for the testimony of Jesus in the church in Lethbridge.
  • Normal growth in life among the young people and college students in the church in Lethbridge

Clemson, SC—Gospel Trip, Days 7-8

February 4, 2017

Our last activity on the ground was a snack time at a coffee place located along the university. Our main focus is toward the students whom we have met the past few days while tabling. Praise the Lord! Two students came for a second appointment. Also, the student who was baptized a couple of days ago brought her roommate and her friend to this time. We had a total of four new students who came!

Much more, one of the students who came to the snack time as a second appointment came for the home meeting that same night. The Lord answered our prayer concerning bringing 1-3 more students to the home meeting. The atmosphere was heavenly and full of life!

Currently, there are around six students who attend the home meeting every Monday night. Although we know this is the Lord’s blessing, we also acknowledge that the Lord will not give a burden that is beyond one’s capacity. There has been only one family existing in Clemson, who are taking care of the six students. However, after some fellowship, we hope that the Lord can lead a couple more families to this area to cooperate with His move.

Prayer Burdens:

  • May the new student contact at the home meeting as well as the regular students continue to be consistent in the home meetings.
  • May the Lord stir up a couple more families to move to Clemson for the Lord’s work in the area.
