Laval, QC—Gospel Trip, Days 11-12

February 4, 2016

Over the past two days, the team has been going to the Metro, door knocking and door hanging, and following up with contacts. It has been an enjoyable time laboring with the saints, and we are grateful for the privilege to participate in His move in Laval.

There is a hunger in Laval that only the Lord can satisfy. In the Metro stations and through door knocking, over 2,000 tracts were distributed and nearly 600 Bibles were given away over the course of two days. Many homes have also received door hangers and Bibles in Laval. Some have even called and emailed requesting more Bibles or more information about Bibles for Canada.

There has also been much follow up with the contacts who had previously left their information with us. These times have been very profitable and have helped us find those who are really seeking. During one appointment today, a girl who had a Buddhist background prayed and received the Lord! Our prayer is that there would be many more experiences like this one.

Prayer burdens:

  • That many open ones would be released to come to the Bible seminar this Saturday.
  • That there would be more opportunities for face to face contact with those who are seeking.
  • That some homes in Laval would warmly receive the door hangers and be gained for the Lord’s purpose there.

Fort Myers, FL/Valdosta, GA—Gospel Trip, Days 7-10

February 4, 2016

We arrived on Lord’s day night and headed out to Valdosta State University the following morning. We set up three tables at three strategic locations on campus and began tabling. The campus did not permit us to directly approach the students; nevertheless, with smiles and much prayer, we faithfully presented ourselves and the Bible at the tables. By the Lord’s mercy, the response we received from the students was way beyond our expectations. Many students eagerly approached the table to receive their free study Bible. They expressed their appreciation for what we were doing on campus and were open to have Bible studies with us.

The response was very positive even to the point where the students, through social media and word of mouth, brought many of their friends to receive the Bible; as a result, we ran out of Bibles by the first day. Hallelujah!

On the second day, the tables still had a constant flow of students with even four to six students at a time. We also had second appointments with students. Through these interactions, the Lord revealed the urgent need for some families and full-timers to take up the burden for the campus here. The students are so open and hungry for the truth; therefore, we desperately need those who can shepherd these seeking ones into the church life.

Our experience in Valdosta matches the essence of Matthew 9:36-38. The Lord within us was moved with compassion for the students. These students were like castaways in the world; they really needed someone who could shepherd them. This someone being Christ! Therefore, the Lord thrusted us out into His harvest at Valdosta where we could be one with the shepherding One to care for his lost sheep. Praise the Lord for His move in Valdosta!

Statistics (2/1-3)

Tracts: 110
Bibles: 147
Free Bible offers: 137

Second appointment: 18

Prayer burdens:

  • For two or three families to be released to migrate to Valdosta
  • For the follow-up with the new contacts
  • For a lampstand to be established in Valdosta

Salt Lake City, UT—Gospel Trip, Days 11-13

February 3, 2016

Praise the Lord that He is moving in Salt Lake City! On Monday night at the College Meeting, 11 new contacts came for the dinner, and six of them stayed for the rest of the meeting on the topic: Revelation of Christ and the Church. This is surely the execution of Christ through the incense added to the prayers of the saints. Please continue to pray that these new contacts will be drawn to Christ by the revelation of Christ.

But the Monday College Meeting was not planned to continue next week, unless the students pick up the burden to coordinate. So Lord, show the students the importance of the College Meeting for the sake of bearing remaining fruit for Your glory!

The church in Salt Lake City has been around awhile and many saints were gained but drawn back into the world. To shepherd these dormant ones, the saints gathered in vital groups on Tuesday and Thursday nights, sacrificing their time with their families and their rest. May the Lord strengthen each saint in Salt Lake City into the inner man to bring the lost sheep, lost coins, and the prodigal sons back to Christ.

Prayer burdens:

  • The continuation of the Monday College Meeting through the rising up of our own students and local saints to shepherd the new contacts through coordination
  • The strengthening with power of each saint into the inner man to bring the dormant saints back in the Father’s house through the vital groups’ prayers and visitations for God’s glory

Norfolk, VA—Gospel Trip, Day 12

February 3, 2016

Early this morning our team set out from Blacksburg, VA, to be at Liberty University in Lynchburg in time for a morning distribution. Liberty University (LU) is the largest Christian university in the USA. Due to a convocation that took place this morning, gathering almost 13,000 students, we were able to widely distribute to a large portion of the student body. In all, we handed out 1,500 ministry books, including the New Testament Recovery Version. Many students were so thankful for the free material, and we were touched by their warmth and gratitude. A number of us also enjoyed having appointments over lunch or coffee with new and existing contacts.

After the LU distribution, our team traveled to Charlottesville, VA where we joined the weekly college meeting of the students at the University of Virginia. We enjoyed a time together of singing and sharing testimonies. Thank You, Lord, for your expression in Charlottesville!

Prayer burdens:

  • Please pray for the students at Liberty University to read these books and for them to receive light and revelation from the Lord concerning all that they read
  • Please pray for the follow-up contact with the hungry ones at Liberty University and Old Dominion University
  • Please pray for a weekly Bible study to be established at ODU

Missoula, MT/Cheney, WA—Gospel Trip, Days 11-12

February 3, 2016

We’ve had another enjoyable couple of days in Montana! Yesterday, we were once again on the University of Montana campus passing out Bibles and signing students up for one-on-one Bible reading appointments. It’s quite amazing that as long as we offer ourselves willingly to co-labor with the Lord and present our bodies to be on the campuses, the Lord really operates and brings the seekers to us. One young man I spoke with was very interested about the fact that the BfA Bible was a study Bible. He said that he didn’t like all of the Christian clubs on campus that had so many outward activities. Instead, he wanted to read and study the Word in a deeper way. Thank you Lord for bringing the sons of peace to us!

Today, we traveled to Butte, which is a 2-hour drive southeast of Missoula. This town is home to Montana Tech, a world-famous mining school. It is also home to a mile-deep, open mine (kind of the shape of a funnel). The views from the hill of the campus were breathtaking. During our short time on that campus, we were able to pass out 20 Bibles and receive contact information for further correspondence from nearly all of the recipients. Praise the Lord! We just pray that these would be brought on to maturity and enter into the Lord’s testimony in Butte, Montana.

Prayer burdens:

  • That the ones contacted so far would be kept by the Lord for His purpose and would have the growth in life through the saints’ laboring and shepherding.
