Vallejo, CA—Gospel Trip, Days 1-3

January 31, 2016

Accompanied by the blessing of the saints in Reno, we arrived in Vallejo safely. On Saturday, we participated in the biggest Bible push in the communities of Vallejo. Around 90 saints, many from surrounding localities, joined the door-knocking and tabling efforts. It is an exhibition of the Lord’s Body laboring together. After the gospel activities, we reconvened to share testimonies. And then, we continued with follow up by visitation.

At one home, we discovered that the Bible was requested by a ten-year old girl who eagerly awaited our delivering the Bible. When she and her mother met us at the door, we shared our appreciation of the Lord’s name. Before we left, she called upon the Lord with us! Another young couple welcomed us into their home and we had fellowship for 40 to 50 minutes.

During the entire time, three other saints were praying in the car. We really sensed that their prayers were strengthening and supplying us! How sweet it is to labor by prayer! The next day, after the Lord’s Table, some saints shared their experiences during the sowing trip on Saturday. Many saints were kindled in their spirit and burning for the gospel in Vallejo!

Santa Rosa, CA—Gospel Trip, Days 8-9

January 31, 2016

Jesus is Lord in Santa Rosa and the North Bay! Today we had the first Lord’s Table meeting as the Church in Rohnert Park! The saints were full of praises and thanksgivings to the Lord for all that He has done to raise up this new locality. Through all these years, with much steadfast prayers and laboring of the saints, the Lord is able to propagate His testimony in the North Bay to build up His Body. We pray that the Church in Rohnert Park as the golden, shining lampstand will continue to increase and brightly shine forth of the Lord’s expression, that the saints here will be daily strengthened into their inner man to be the Lord’s living testimonies.

Yesterday we had around 60 saints from the Bay Area to participate in the sowing trip in Santa Rosa by door knocking. The saints testified it was very enjoyable and fruitful. The saints gave out about 35 Bibles and got 20 contact info cards. One team told the lady who answered the door that they were with Bibles for America, and she showed them the Recovery Version Bible which she had just received in the mail in that morning. This lady had ordered it over the Internet and showed the saints that she just started reading the book of Matthew that morning. Hallelujah, the Word is running in Santa Rosa.

Prayer Burdens:

  • Please pray for the follow up of the contacts or Bible recipients from the door knocking that they would get into the truth and appreciate the RcV, that they would keep open and soft for further contact and visitation.
  • Please pray for the college students in SSU and SRJC who were contacted that they can be released from all bondage to have Bible study appointments and meetings.
  • Please pray that the Lord will burden some young saints, families, and serving ones to move here.

Peoria, IL—Gospel Trip, Days 9-10

January 31, 2016

Today was our second day of labor in Peoria. The team and local saints were all very encouraged that the people here are open to speak to us. The past two days, we have been door knocking and spending time at the BfA table. Two highlights on some we have met:

Yesterday, a trainee and local saint knocked on a warm door and was invited inside right away once they told the home that they were Christian. The man they talked to was a dear, seeking believer, and they had a real sweet time of fellowship. He was sharing Hebrews 4:12, on how the word of God is living and operative, and he shared how we need to be ones who digest and assimilate the word. Today, the same trainee and two other local saints went to visit the home again, gave the home a Bible, and enjoyed more fellowship in their home.

Today, at the end of our time at the BfA table, we met three warm contacts, ones who were very open for further contact. One woman said that she had been praying about finding a small group fellowship and that God answered her prayers. She was willing to make herself available to meet with us again.

Lord, reach Your seeking ones in Peoria!

Mississauga, ON—Gospel Trip, Days 7-9

January 31, 2016

This weekend, we divided into three teams and went to the flea markets and supermarkets to pass out Bibles. It was a good experience for all of us, because we got a chance to speak to a different age group. On campus, it was mostly students around early 20’s but at the markets, the age range was anywhere from children to teens and 40+. We met and had fellowship with a lot of older Christians.

There was another YP meeting on Friday, and the we were able to share with them our experiences of going on this gospel trip.

Many of the ones whom we’ve contacted at campus or at the markets were able to attend the Bible seminar today. There was a message on Unlocking the Mysteries of the Bible followed by a presentation on using the features of the Recovery Version. We were able to get into 1 Thessalonians 5:23 with footnotes, and many new ones shared their enjoyment afterwards.

These three days, we distributed roughly:
Tracts: 2344
Bibles: 370
Contacted: 239
Prayed to receive the Lord: 6
Scheduled second appointments: 5
Regular appointments: 1

Prayer burdens:

  • Please pray for a shining golden lampstand to be established in Mississauga this Spring.
  • Please continue to pray for the hungry ones to come to the Bible studies on campus and for some to come to the next Bible seminar.
  • Please pray that the enemy would be be bound, because there have been signs of the enemy’s attacks. (health conditions, negative contacts, theft of personal items, etc.) Matt 18:18 - Truly I say to you, Whatever you bind on the earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on the earth shall have been loosed in heaven.

Menifee, CA—Gospel Trip, Days 7-9

January 31, 2016

On Saturday morning 16 local saints came for community door-knocking. We had corporate study of John 15:16 with pray-reading, followed by prayer and coordination from 10 am to 11 am. Then we went out as 8 groups to the community north of MSJC campus. In about 2 hours, the Lord gave us some open homes who are open to further contacts. On Saturday evening two MSJC students who received the Bible came to the dinner. We had a good time singing and shared about eating the Lord by receiving the Rhema words which are spirit and life.

This morning in the Lord’s Table meeting, the saints spent about 20 minutes to share their experiences in door-knocking and in the distribution on MSJC campus. It was encouraging. We need to pray that the saints would continue to go out and contact people both in the community and on MSJC campus every week in 2016.

Basic Element of the Christian Life, vol. 1: 23
