Peoria, IL—Gospel Trip, Days 3-4

January 25, 2016

Yesterday morning was the end of the Midwest College Conference. The final message was on the direction of the Lord’s move— preparing the bride. Students were impressed that the Lord needs them, as young people, to cooperate with Him, that morning by morning each one would spend time with the Lord to be prepared as His bride. We were all so encouraged this weekend with what the students, especially the new ones, saw regarding God’s need for age turners and how they can respond to this need.

This week is the start of our labor in Champaign, IL and Normal, IL. About half of the team are at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), preaching the gospel to the college students there. The Christians on Campus students are also preparing for an unbeliever’s gospel event this Wednesday and will be inviting their friends to this. They will be using the Mystery of Human Life in small groups and share their experience on being a Christian.

The other half of the team will be in Normal, IL, laboring on the Illinois State University campus. Today we met quite a few male students who are open for further contact. Two tables were set for contacting people and passing Bibles on campus; 18 people left their contact information.

Praise You Lord for Your working on these two campuses!

Prayer burdens:

  • Please pray for the sowing of gospel seeds to the unbelieving ISU/UIUC students.
  • Please pray for the contact of those that the Lord has prepared for dorm Bible reading.
  • Please pray for gaining students, especially student brothers.

Missoula, MT/Cheney, WA—Gospel Trip, Days 1-3

January 25, 2016

We are now technically in our third day of the gospel trip in Cheney, WA and Missoula, MT. We started the trip with a blending conference in Tri-Cities. Some local brothers re-spoke messages #1, #5, and #9 of the semi-annual training. It was a wonderful time of the Lord’s rich speaking to the saints! We also got to blend with many local saints from all over Washington state.

We then traveled to Cheney, WA, home of Eastern State University. The saints took the ground in the last couple of months, so there is a real mutual strengthening and encouragement with our visit this week! We spent most of our time door-knocking and meeting new contacts. We were mostly in student housing. One of the brothers teaches at the university, so some of these students were shocked (positively) to see their professor at their door preaching the gospel to them! Already, we have had a very good response from many ones who have invited us in, praised the Lord with us, or called on His name. We hope for many more potential contacts that could eventually be added to the church in Cheney.

Prayer burdens:

  • That the Lord would continue to blend the churches in the Northwest through these conferences and the ministry of the Word.
  • That the Lord would put into our hands many remaining fruits for the saints in Cheney to labor on in a long-term way that the church may be strengthened.

Menifee, CA—Gospel Trip, Day 3

January 25, 2016

What a blessing it is to be here in Menifee, joining ourselves to the Lord’s move in this city. We had a rich time of fellowship in the morning at a saint’s home getting into the ministry reading, Bible verses and footnotes for the day. After the reading and prayer we set out in our “white horse” to MSJC (Mt San Jacinto Community College). There we set up a BfA table to give out Bibles and tracts. This time was definitely the highlight of today. In about three hours we gave out 51 Bibles and spoke to many students. A good number of them were interested in further contact. They were very open. The time here with the team and local saints was very enjoyable and supplying.

After our afternoon rest time we went through the contact information we had received to contact those Bible recipients. We had dinner at a home in Lake Elsinore and had sweet fellowship with some local saints. We were very encouraged and pray that the Lord will continue to gain His shining testimony here in Menifee. Praise Him, He is able!

Prayer burdens:

  • Please pray for the follow-up of Bible recipients on the campus and continue to pray for the distribution at MSJC.
  • Please pray for the local saints’ participation and the one accord.
  • Please pray for the community door-knocking on Saturday (29th).

Laval, QC—Gospel Trip, Day 3

January 25, 2016

We started off the day with some singing, praying, and coordination for the day’s activities. Donning our Bibles for Canada t-shirts with tracts and Recovery Version Bibles in hand we headed for Laval. We went to the Montmorency Metro station to get a small taste of what the Bible distribution for the rest of the week will be like. We talked to a good number of local people, handed out tracts, and gave away a handful of Bibles in both English and French.

The evening was spent in the homes of the local saints for the young people and college coordination times. Half of the team joined the young people serving ones and the other half the college servings ones. Both groups had a sweet time of coordination and prayer while entering into the burden of the ongoing work with the young people and college students.

Prayer burdens:

  • That many of the local people in the Metro stations would be open to receiving a Bible during our distribution, and that many would sign up for the Bible seminar this coming Saturday.
  • That many homes would warmly receive and read the door hangers that will be distributed to neighborhoods in Laval tomorrow afternoon.

Kennesaw, GA/Huntsville, AL—Gospel Trip, Days 1-2

January 24, 2016

Praise the Lord for his move in Huntsville, AL and Kennesaw, GA! The gospel team of eight landed in Atlanta on Saturday, then went to the college meeting at the GA Tech campus on Saturday night. The trainees shared their testimonies to encourage the students after some sweet fellowship.

On Lord’s Day, after the Table meeting, the team got on their way to Huntsville, AL for the first half of the trip. In Huntsville, the team had dinner with the saints, learned a little about the history of the church in Huntsville, and considered the activities for the week. The team will be on four campuses: University of Alabama-Huntsville, Calhoun Community College-Huntsville, Calhoun Community College-Decatur, and Alabama A&M.

Prayer Burdens:

  • The opening of the administration at UAH and Alabama A&M, so that we can set up Bibles for America table in each campus.
  • The softening of the hearts of the locals and students we would contact this week through the gospel
  • Blending between the gospel team, and the local saints
