Peoria, IL—Gospel Trip, Days 1-2

January 23, 2016

Yesterday, 1/22, was the beginning of the Midwest College Conference at Camp Tecumseh in Indiana, which is covering the topic of God’s Age Turners. In the evening, the students had their first meeting. The students shared on points including how they were touched by the need to consecrate themselves to the Lord.

Today, 1/23, the morning sessions covered, “A Time with the Lord” and “Experiencing the Spirit for the Preaching of the Gospel.” In the afternoon, attendees were in small groups in their cabins to fellowship regarding morning revival and some practical handles to practice spending time with the Lord. The evening message was on, “The Direction of the Lord’s Move (1): To Build Up the Body of Christ.” Many were touched by the matter of practicing the God-ordained way and consecrating themselves to the vision that they have seen tonight.

Prayer Burdens:

  • Pray that the Lord would remove the veils so that each one would see a vision of what the Lord is after regarding His eternal purpose.
  • Pray that the students would all have a proper vision and would respond to the Lord.
  • Pray that the students would see a vision and consecrate to what they see.

Grand Rapids - An Invitation to Lord's Table and Weekend Conference

February 13, 2015

The saints in the Grand Rapids area are deeply appreciative for all of your prayers and fellowship over the past several years regarding the establishing of a lampstand in the city of Grand Rapids. The GTCA gospel sowing trips in the winter months of 2012 and 2013 were a practical carrying out of the Lord’s desire to establish a local church in Grand Rapids. Since the time of these gospel trips the saints in Grand Rapids have begun to meet with the view of standing on the unique ground of oneness with all the local churches to testify that there is one Body in this universe. We have also begun to take the Lord’s Table with this reality in view.

At this time the saints in Grand Rapids feel that it would be good to declare that ours is a oneness locally with all the believers and universally with all the local churches. To affirm such a standing, we warmly invite you to join us for a weekend conference and Lord’s Table meeting in Grand Rapids on March 21-22, 2015.

We thank and praise the Lord for His spreading throughout this country as many local churches are raised up! We ask in the Lord to stand with us during this time of declaration. We look forward to a rich time of blending and fellowship with you all!

On behalf of the church in Grand Rapids,

Campbell Watterworth

Albert Ho

Jim Isenhart

Scott Anderson

To help with the preparation for this gathering, we are asking the saints that will be coming to respond to us by Saturday, February 28 to the email address below. Please indicate the number that will be attending, including children with their ages. Children’s service will be available.

Santa Rosa/Novato, CA—Gospel Trip, Day 16

February 8, 2015

We have concluded our gospel trip with many praises to the Lord with all the saints here in Novato and Santa Rosa. During the past two weeks, 3,556 gospel tracts and BfA free offers were passed out, 417 RcV Bibles were distributed, 510 people talked with us, 46 prayed and received the Lord, 38 appointments/Bible studies were held on campus and 47 homes were visited by the saints. As of today, we have 70 students from Sonoma State University (SSU) on the Bible club’s email list, and even though we didn’t have capacity to labor on the Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC), the Lord still brought 16 SRJC student contacts through door-knocking. Among all the student contacts, we identified 20 students from SSU and about 12 students from SRJC as the most positive contacts to labor on in the future. Ten students from SSU attended the college meeting on Friday nights and are connected with the saints. Three new ones attended the Lord’s table meeting on 2/8/2015, one of them attended for the second time. Two of these new ones spent the Lord’s day afternoon with the saints and had dinner with us in a saint’s home.

We also have about 12 homes in the community open for us to come back to have Bible studies at their place, and more than 40 homes are open to revisit/follow-up. The harvest is great but the workers few. But all of us are so much encouraged and shepherded by the saints here, and our hearts are so touched by how they just pour out everything to the Lord. May the Lord richly bless the Santa Rosa/Novato area with many remaining fruit and gain the brightly shining lampstands!

Prayer burdens:

  • Campus: Please pray for 20 core SSU student contacts and the core SRJC student contacts, that they would grow in life, enjoy and remain in the church life, and be normal functioning members of the Body of Christ. May the Lord gain many more students through the testimony and witness of these students. Please pray for the continuation of the Bible studies, study nights, and college meetings at SSU, and future opportunities to blend with Berkeley and San Francisco. May the Lord capture many young hearts for His building.
  • Community: Please pray for the revisiting of the warm doors we gained by door-knocking. May the Lord guide the saints in spending their time and energy and lead the saints to visit the genuine seekers. May the Lord gain some open homes through the saints’ visits and raise up the lampstands in Santa Rosa and Novato!
  • Please pray that the Lord would burden some young saints, families, and serving ones to move to this white field.

Salt Lake City, UT—Gospel Trip, Days 15-17

February 8, 2015

2/6/15: On Friday, we distributed 8 Bibles at Sugarhouse Park, then split into two language-based home meetings in the evening. The English-speaking home meeting was held at the meeting hall, where we enjoyed spicy jambalaya with five new ones. We introduced calling on the Lord to them, and one of them later asked, “Can I call you guys crazy, in a good way?” Praise the Lord we are all fools because of Christ!

2/7/15: Saturday was a day of hall service and recreation. The brothers cleared out rubble in the backyard, while the sisters repainted the bathroom. In the afternoon, we drove out across the Great Salt Lake to Antelope Island where we skipped rocks and enjoyed a breathtaking sunset over still waters. The air smelled heavily of brine. The lake is a good example of what happens when there is inflow without outflow: the absence of life, and therefore death. Lord, save us from hindering Your flow! Then we gathered for a soul-cherishing meal at the Eliason’s, where we talked and sang intermittently.

2/8/15: Sunday was our last day. We had three new ones and two visitors attend the Table Meeting. After the prophesying meeting, the team took turns sharing what touched us from this gospel trip. We could all testify that we were thoroughly supplied by blending with the saints in Salt Lake, and that we were all carried by the flow of prayer from saints all over the world. We then sang, “I live if you stand firm in the Lord” to the saints, tears were shed in the process, and afterwards, we presented them with a frame of a team picture with Acts 2:46-47 written on it. After a hearty love feast, we went door-knocking in Sugarhouse and distributed 18 Bibles and gained one contact. Then we gathered for one last normal time of eating and singing together.

Thus concludes our time in Salt Lake City. Thank you all for continuing to stand with us in prayer through this time.

Prayer burdens:

  • MIGRATION: This cannot be overemphasized. Saints who have been here many years can testify that the atmosphere in Salt Lake City has shifted and that the Lord is stirring, but He needs saints who are willing to be made burdened and to move.
  • CONTINUED shepherding of the new ones, so that they would take root and become remaining fruit.
  • STRENGTHEN the saints, so that they’d be vitalized, companionized, blended, and continue steadfastly in prayer and the gospel.
