Huntsville, TX—Gospel Trip, Days 7-9
1/31/15: Mark 4:3—”Listen! Behold, the sower went out to sow.”
Praise the Lord for His continuation on this earth! Today we went door-knocking and we are overflowing with joy for what the Lord did. Saints from Arlington, Houston, and College Station joined the team and the saints here in Huntsville for prayer, coordination, fellowship, and much enjoyment of the Lord before door knocking. Fourteen teams of 3-4 went and visited fourteen apartment complexes, with some high school and college students door-knocking for the first time. How encouraging! After we had a corporate dinner, we had a sweet overflow meeting. One notable highlight was one college student’s first experience of leading a person to receive the Lord; he was so happy he did not have the words to express how wonderful his experience was. Total for the day: 120 people received a New Testament Recovery Version and at least 10 people received the Lord. Hallelujah!!
2/1/15: Hymn #595 Stanza 1 There is always something over, When we taste our gracious Lord; Every cup He fills o’erfloweth, Rich supply He doth afford. Nothing narrow, nothing stinted, Ever issued from His store; To His own He gives full measure, Running over, evermore, To His own He gives full measure, Running over, evermore.
Hallelujah, there is always something over! This week has truly been a week of filling and overflowing. What a privilege untold to be able to supply God’s seeking ones with a Bible. We are very much encouraged in seeing how the Lord is superabundantly able to do above all we can ask or think. Praise the Lord! We are also very thankful for the dear saints here in Huntsville. We really felt at home here in Huntsville enjoying the saints portion of Christ through prayer, singing, fellowship, and hospitality. The Lord has gained more building this week! Today we had a wonderful time enjoying the feast in the table meeting and a time of building in the prophesying meeting. We had a very delicious love feast afterwards with all the saints. Later in the afternoon we went to Huntsville State Park to enjoy a time of singing, recreation, and ministry reading with five students we contacted at the campus join us. Afterward two of the girls that we contacted spent some time at the saint’s home and really enjoyed a time of fellowship and prayer. Lord gain these these students for your purpose!
2/2/15: Today we started our 150 mile drive southeast to Beaumont. Beaumont is a locality with about 20 saints. The main campus here is Lamar University with about 15,000 students. As soon as we arrived in Beaumont we headed to the campus to set up our BfA table. The Lord really had a way to draw many students to the table and they came to receive their free study Bible. Since we ran out of ministry books in Huntsville many were open to come back later in the week to receive their ministry books. In total 72 Bibles and 38 ministry books were given out. In the evening we spent time resting, meeting the saints, and had delicious dinner.
Phil. 2:15b-16a—”among whom you shine as luminaries in the world, Holding forth the word of life.”
Prayer burdens:
- Many warm doors we visited would continue to be open for further visitations by the saints
- A hunger for the truth would stir in each one of the Bible/ministry book recipients
- Connections through follow-up contact would be established with the local saints
- Lord keep drawing His seeking ones to Himself and into saints homes
- The Lord keep us in the enjoyment of Himself as we travel to Beaumont
- The Lord would supply us with His all-sufficient grace for the remainder of this gospel trip
- The Lord shine in the hearts of students, by enlightening the eyes of their hearts
- That the Lord would grant us solid connections in our short time here

Lafayette, IN—Gospel Trip, Days 1-3
Greetings from Lafayette! We started our next Bible distribution at Purdue University today. So far the Lord has blessed us with 27 contacts today and distributed 72 Bibles and 369 tracts. We also had a student who received the Lord. Praise the Lord!
The burden of the saints here in Lafayette is to contact the students that were contacted last year. So far we have had two appointments with two students.
Moreover, dear saints thank you so much for all your prayers. Indeed the Lord has faithfully answer the prayers. We were burden for a professor to come to the Lord’s table and praise the Lord he came to join us. We felt that he enjoyed the meeting. After the meeting we sense a feeling of enthusiasm in him. He was encouraging the local students to keep studying hard!
Prayer burdens:
- The saints burden is that we can contact the students from last year’s GTCA 2014— Please pray that the Lord will strengthen their will to answer their text and a hunger to meet.
- There is a positive atmosphere toward the distribution of the free Recovery Version—Please pray that the Lord will cover this time here in Purdue. Satan never sleeps and he hates the work.
- We are hosting a seminar this Friday—please pray that the Lord would a way for students to join.
- Continue to pray for the Christian Students at Purdue Bible studies. The core students are very encouraged that we are here. Prayer that the Lord will shepherd these students during this time.
Fargo, ND/Minneapolis, MN—Gospel Trip, Days 9-10
2/1/15: Today was the last day of our time in Fargo, North Dakota. We had the last meeting of the mini conference regarding God’s building and God’s goal this morning. After lunch with the local saints we traveled about four hours Southeast to Minneapolis.
2/2/15: Today was our first day on the University of Minnesota. We passed out 65 Bibles and 10 prayed to receive the Lord. We feel the open responses from the students is due to all the prayers of the saints. The Lord has truly gone before us.
- One student, sister K, who is from Hong Kong prayed to receive the Lord and attended the home meeting tonight. She enjoyed the testimonies from the local saints and trainees.
- Another student (T) came to the table and was open for further contact. She will be having an appointment tomorrow with the sisters.
- Another brother, (brother M) also received the Lord and is open for further fellowship yet has a midterm this week so his schedule is quite busy.
- Another student, sister M, came to the table, received a Bible and the sisters will be meeting with her tomorrow. We ended the night with a home meeting in which some trainees and local saints shared regarding how they came to meet the Lord. It was a marvelous display of the Lord’s testimony.
Prayer burdens:
- That the Lord would baptize sister K and release a follow up appointment. That brother M’s schedule would be freed up for the Bible seminar this week and a follow-up appointment this week.
- The Lord would bless the appointment with sister M and release another appointment this week.
- The Lord would save T and her friend.
- The Lord would bring many open students to the Bible seminars on Wednesday (2/4) evening.
Virginia Beach, VA—Gospel Trip, Days 10-11
On Lord’s Day, we came to Newport News, and have been enjoying a house-to-house church life. We’re in the homes for dinners in various groups, and the fellowship has been so sweet and wonderful.
We heard many of the testimonies of the saints in this area, and we’re witnessing the Lord’s fine and detailed operation in each one’s life. In one home, after a local sister shared her testimony, she said, “I’ve never quite opened up my testimony so much quite like this before.” We prayed for the Lord to gain her husband to work out the way for her to go to FTT-MA. Before we left, she also told us, “When I see young saints, I think I need to shepherd them. But tonight, you all shepherded me.” The shepherding and encouragement in the Body through the blending truly is mutual.
Prayer burdens:
- Our Bible distribution at College of William and Mary on Tuesday (2/3).
- A lunch appointment with two students who have been very busy the past semester, but the local sisters told them that there were sisters who were a similar age as them coming to visit, and they were available to meet. Pray for the Lord to reach them through the saints through such normal, gentle shepherding.
Santa Rosa/Novato, CA—Gospel Trip, Day 11
Thank you very much for your prayers! The Lord is truly leading us victoriously through the prayers of all the saints! Today one community team visited 10 houses in Santa Rosa and delivered the Bibles to them. These are the contacts from the 44 orders we received by door knocking last Saturday 1/31. Out of these 10 recipients, three are open for us to revisit again in the future and possibly have a Bible study at their place. Please continue praying for our revisiting of these 44 contacts in Santa Rosa and may the Lord gain some open homes!
The campus team had two appointments with two new students. We also narrowed down our current student contacts to about twenty solid contacts who have attended some of our events and are positive genuine seekers. One new student who attended the college meeting last Friday came again to the family and hung out with the family and some trainee sisters this evening. She confirmed that she would like to come again this Friday night for the college meeting. The family also plans to have a study night for the students at their place every Monday. Please continue praying for the shepherding of the new students and may the Lord make them useful vessels for His building.
We also had a glorious prayer meeting tonight with the saints in Novato and Santa Rosa. The Lord has won the victory and we stand with Him!
Prayer burdens:
- Please pray for the follow up contact with the twenty solid SSU students, that the Lord will bring them again to the Bible studies and the college meetings and build them up with the local saints.
- Please pray that the Lord will bring some more genuine seekers to the Bible club table in the next three days, especially raise up some brothers at SSU. We pray that all these contacts will remain in the church, grow in life, and be normal functioning members of the Body of Christ.
- Please pray for the Bible club at SSU. Tomorrow is the last chance for the sister to attend the charter meeting to keep the club official, and may the Lord bind any distractions. We currently have 53 students in the Bible club’s email list and will send out an email regarding some of our activities (i.e. Bible studies, college meeting). We also have created a Facebook page for the club. * * Please pray that the Lord will visit the students through the emails and postings and warm their hearts to pursue Him.
- Please pray for the revisiting of the 44 homes in Santa Rosa. May the Lord warm their heart through our second visit and open up more opportunities for further fellowship with them. We expect 55 saints from Northern California to join us this Saturday to continue the door knocking. May the Lord gain some open homes through the saints’ visit!
- Please pray that the Lord would burden some young saints, families, and serving ones to move to this white field.
