Santa Rosa/Novato, CA—Gospel Trip, Day 10

February 2, 2015

Praise the Lord we started a new week in Sonoma State University (SSU)! There are fifteen local saints and serving ones from Northern California joined us. We continued the Bible club table on SSU campus; two community teams continued door-knocking in the community nearby SSU; and two community teams start revisiting the 44 homes we met last Saturday for Bible delivery and follow-up appointments.

The campus team had two Bible studies and one appointment with new students today. One of them is a Christian sister and she enjoyed the Bible study very much and was impressed by how deep the footnotes in RcV open up the Bible. Another Christian sister who attended the Bible study also has a good heart for God and is very open and receptive. Both of them may come join us for the Friday college meeting. Please pray that the Lord will bring them for dinner this week and connect them with the local saints.

Two new students joined us for dinner tonight, the sister who was saved on Friday and the sister who attended the Lord’s table yesterday, and we had a study night together in the saint’s house. We are very happy that they are comfortable with us and found their family away from home.

The two community teams revisited some of the homes from Santa Rosa, the 44 contacts we received from door-knocking on Saturday 1/31. We talked to seven of them who were home when we revisited and two of them are very positive and open to be revisited again. One of the Bible recipients is a seeking believer and currently has a small Bible study with two other Christian brothers in their place. We met them and they invited us to come back next Saturday for a Bible study at their place. Please pray that the Lord will bless this time and keep them pursuing him and know His heart desire.

Prayer burdens:

  • Please pray for our coordination with the local saints regarding the continuation of the follow up and shepherding of the new contacts after our departure. May the Lord use this last week of the gospel trip to gain solid remaining fruits and carry on the campus work at SSU.
  • Pray that the Lord will gain five core students and 15 solid contacts by the end of this gospel trip.
  • Please pray that the Lord will release more students to attend the Bible studies, appointments, and the second Friday night college meeting during this week. May the Lord attract many more to be captured by the truth and the sweet church life.
  • Please pray for the revisiting of the 44 homes in Santa Rosa who are open to receive a Bible. May the Lord warm their hearts through our second visit and open up more opportunities for further fellowship with them.
  • Please pray that the Lord would burden some young saints, families, and serving ones to move to this white field.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA—Gospel Trip, Day 11

February 2, 2015

We continue to pray for remaining fruit, especially English-speaking ones, so that the Lord may have a lampstand here in Rancho Cucamonga. The local saints and trainees continue to pray and encourage each other to remain strong in the Lord and to continue fighting in this spiritual warfare here against the enemy by the grace of the Lord.

After the gospel meeting on Lord’s Day, February 1st, 2015, a couple said that they wanted to get baptized this Friday, February 6th, 2015. Other contacts also expressed their desire and willingness to come to subsequent gospel meetings on Tuesday, February 3rd, Friday, February 6th, and Lord’s Day, February 8th, 2015. We continue to go out on campus and into the different neighborhoods to invite people to the gospel meetings and to bring the good news to them.

Prayer burdens:

  • Release of the baptism of the couple this Friday, February 6th, 2015
  • Gospel meetings on Friday, February, 6th, 2015 and Lord’s Day, February 8th, 2015—that the Lord would bring many English-speaking ones, that they would be saved and baptized, and that they would be remaining fruits of the gospel.
  • Twenty remaining fruit in Rancho Cucamonga
  • Five English-speaking families to migrate to Rancho Cucamonga
  • That the Lord would have a lampstand in Rancho Cucamonga.

Salem, OR—Gospel Trip, Days 7-9

February 1, 2015

We spent the weekend blending with the saints in Eugene, Oregon. We went to the University of Oregon and passed out over 70 tracts, four Bibles, and prayed with three people to receive the Lord while on the gospel. The students were very open and friendly and willing to listen to our sharing.

The second day we set up a table for a BfA distribution on campus and even though the weather was cold, 27 Bibles were given to students and several of them were open to being contacted again. We also joined four ongoing appointments and the campus Bible study. That night there was a time with the young people from Eugene and surrounding localities. We had an enjoyable time singing with them and sharing our testimonies concerning our experience and enjoyment from the FTTA as an encouragement.

The third day we had a joint table meeting with several localities in Oregon, where we again had the privilege to blend with many saints from Oregon. We also had the opportunity to give a brief report of our trip and encourage the saints concerning the gospel by familiarizing them with the current distribution materials.

Prayer burdens:

  • Pray for the saints in Eugene to be built up and strengthened for the Lord’s testimony.
  • Pray for the saints in their follow up with the contacts from the Bible distribution as well as with their existing contacts.
  • Pray for the Lord to add to the church in Eugene.

Temecula, CA—Gospel Trip, Days 7-8

February 1, 2015

Activity highlights—1/31/15:

It was very sweet that 15 saints and college students from San Diego came to blend with us. We had coordination and corporate prayer together. Then we went to the Reagan Park to hand out gospel tracts and to sing hymns together. After lunch, we went to another park, the Sport’s Park to hand out gospel tracts.
At the in-reap meeting, we shared two messages on baptism and the assurance of salvation to encourage the new ones get saved and baptized. There were five young ones who received the Lord and got baptized.

Activity highlights—2/1/15:

Lord’s day table meeting and love feast and blending with the new ones at the Sport’s Park Dinner and fellowship with the host family. After dinner, we had a wonderful time sharing our testimonies with the local saints. It was amazing to see what the Lord can do to bring people to Him. Some of the local saints are just living testimonies of the Lord. It’s very touching and encouraging to see how they consecrated to the Lord and faithfully kept their consecration throughout the years and how the Lord has been faithful to them, supplied and carried them through difficult situations. May the Lord gain more of His testimonies in Temecula!

Santa Rosa/Novato, CA—Gospel Trip, Day 9

February 1, 2015

Praise the Lord we had a very enjoyable Lord’s table this morning. One new student from Sonoma State University (SSU) attended the Lord’s table meeting for the very first time. The saints continued the fellowship on consecration and the speaking is very refreshing. In the afternoon this student sister had a very enjoyable time with the saints exploring San Francisco. We had dinner together at a saint’s home in Novato in the evening. This new sister is a freshman at SSU; she grew up in a Christian family but hasn’t been baptized yet. She enjoyed the time with the saints today and enjoyed the college meeting on Friday, and she is looking forward to come back to the second college meeting on 2/6/2015 and may also join us for dinner some days this week. Please pray for this dear sister, that the Lord will renew her day by day and keep her enjoying the gathering with the saints and remain in the church life.

Prayer burdens:

  • Please pray for the sister who got saved on Friday 1/30/2015 and the sister who attended the Lord’s table today. May the Lord release their baptism soon and fully transfer them into the kingdom of God. Please pray that the Lord will preserve their hearts, renew their mind day by day, and make them vital and functioning members in the Body.
  • Please pray that the Lord will gain five core students and 15 solid contacts by the end of this gospel trip. May the second week will be a reaping week and the Lord will release more appointments, Bible studies, and home visitations.
  • Please pray that the Lord will release more students to come to the second college meeting on Friday 2/6/2015 to enjoy the feast.
  • Please pray for the follow up of the Bible recipients in SSU and the communities. Pray that the Lord will press them to get into the truth and appreciate the life in the Bible. Please pray for more opportunities for us to revisit them or follow up with them in the future.
  • Please pray that the Lord would burden some young saints, families, and serving ones to move to this white field.
