Salt Lake City, UT—Gospel Trip, Days 9-10
Saturday was our rest and recreation day. After a shorter time of coordination, the saints took us up the Wasatch Mountains to snowshoe around Silver Lake. We invited 10 new ones to join us. Afterwards, we gathered in the Liang’s home for dinner and a sweet time of singing love songs to the Lord. In that time, we stirred up one another’s love for the Lord.
After the Table meeting on Lord’s Day, we again split into groups and went door-knocking in Sugarhouse. This time around, we found that because we went with more prayer, the Lord went ahead of us and unlocked more doors and more hearts. Out of 128 homes we knocked on,16 received Bibles and three gave us information for further contact. One person we contacted is a sophomore at the University of Utah and was Muslim, but he was open to receive the Lord and for us to visit him again! In the evening, we split into smaller gatherings in the Acevedo’s and the Herpin’s homes.
This weekend, we have been sharing with each other our week’s highlights, and there was an overall appreciation of the blending afforded by our time together. We enjoy the Lord together in the mornings, we labor together on the campuses, and we eat and sing together in the homes. With each passing day, we enter more into each other’s portion of Christ and become more members one of another. The local saints are visibly being warmed. By the saints being blended and vitalized, the ones we have been contacting have a warm and inviting home to come to.
Prayer burdens:
- Continued Follow-up: We are at the midpoint of our time here, and both we and the local saints are beginning to sense a desperation in bearing remaining fruit. Please pray that we would be able to maintain contact with the ones we contacted last week.
- Please pray for much more fresh contacts this week.
- Please pray for the saints here to continue to be vitalized and companionized with one another to bear remaining fruit.
Attached are images of snowshoeing, Thursday night Bible study, and Friday night home meeting with a new one getting connected to a local saint.

Virginia Beach, VA—Gospel Trip, Day 9
On Saturday, our team, including local saints, split into three groups and went to the Town Center, Oceanfront, and ODU. It was cold, so there weren’t many people walking around, but the Lord was faithful to put some open ones in our path. We got contact info for a little more than a handful of people who wanted more fellowship with other believers in Virginia Beach.
The Bible study/meeting on Saturday was very rich. A handful of students from ODU came, and many of them enjoyed our singing time. We split into four groups to get into reading Christ as the seed of David being designated the son of God. Surely, the material was high and deep, even the high peak of the divine revelation. Yet, we trust that seeds of God’s economy and of this rich ministry have been sown.
Rancho Cucamonga, CA—Gospel Trip, Days 9-10
1/31/15: Thank you saints for your prayers. Today we went out on gospel outreach with the community saints who joined us. Over 30 people were contacted within two hours of door-knocking this morning. Many were also invited to tomorrow’s gospel meeting. The highlight of the day was a young couple who got baptized this evening in a saint’s home. Near the end of our gospel team singing, fellowship and coordination for tomorrow’s gospel meeting, Lord’s Day February 1st, we received notification from a gospel contact and his girlfriend whom we met on campus on Thursday, January 29th, stating that she wanted to be baptized today. We went to pick them up and brought them over to the saints’ home where we were. After dinner and singing we had fellowship and testimonies regarding baptism. When the time came, initially only the girlfriend was going to be baptized, but the Spirit was moving and after she was baptized the boyfriend said that he wanted to be baptized as well. Hallelujah! We baptized both of them into the Triune God!
2/1/15: This morning was the third of six gospel meetings in Rancho Cucamonga. There were over 100 persons who attended, including the saints and new ones. After the sharing and testimonies those that came were asked to stand up with their friends and saints who contacted them. They then prayed and called on the name of the Lord together. Those that had a desire to be baptized also stood up and were called to the front to pray with the saints and their friends. May the Lord release these baptisms! After the meeting there was a time of blending and fellowship with the saints and gospel contacts. A number of contacts expressed that they enjoyed the meeting and that they would like to bring their friends or family as well.
Prayer Burdens:
- Gospel meetings on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015—that the Lord would continue to bring many English-speaking ones, that they would be saved and baptized, and that they would be remaining fruits of the gospel.
- The Lord to release the baptisms of all those contacts that have a desire to be baptized this week
- Twenty remaining fruit in Rancho Cucamonga
- Five English-speaking families to migrate to Rancho Cucamonga

Birmingham, AL—Gospel Trip, Days 8-9
Friday evening, our team split to join three home meetings. Another brother opened his home for the first time! Brother T joined the church life a year and a half ago but he had been studying the Recovery Version Bible even before he met us. He and the saints have been praying for his wife to be open to the saints. Being in his home was so refreshing. He had the entire evening organized in order to introduce his mother and wife to pray-reading, His mother enjoyed that we can enjoy the Bible as food, not just to attain spiritual knowledge. The unit of salvation is the household! Lord Jesus, gain this family!
We enjoyed blending with a young brother who has been meeting with the saints. He loves being with the saints and feels really comfortable with the saints. He connected with one of the new contacts and they exchanged numbers with plans to fellowship. It was great to see him entering into the labor of shepherding new ones!
Wrapping up our week in Birmingham, we went on a hiking trip and invited many of the contacts we had during the week. A total of 11 contacts joined us! The freshman student at UAB who we met earlier in the week joined us for hiking and spent the rest of the afternoon with us. Lord, thank you for all these ones! Continue gaining ground in their being!
In Birmingham, we distributed a total of 226 bibles and 24 ministry books. Out of 53 contacts, we had 11 appointments.
Prayer burdens:
- Please pray for these new ones and the follow-up appointments.
- Please pray for the Lord’s move in Birmingham, that the Lord would burden some to migrate here. Every family in Birmingham opened their home, including 6 that opened for the first time. The life in the community saints is growing and fruitful, the harvest is also ripe on the campus yet the workers are few. There is a need for younger saints and families with a burden to shepherd the students.

Santa Rosa/Novato, CA—Gospel Trip, Day 8
Praise the Lord we had a wonderful sowing day at Santa Rosa! About sixty saints from Northern California joined us and we formed 19 teams to go door-knocking in the city of Santa Rosa, in the area near the Santa Rosa Junior College. The saints went out from 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM and we had a short overflow meeting after lunch, and all the saints are very encouraged by the door-knocking experience and are surprised by how open and friendly people are in this area. 552 tracts/free Bible offers were distributed, 44 people requested a RcV Bible and gave us their contact information, and 10 prayed and received the Lord. We will revisit the 44 people and deliver the Bible to them. May the Lord open up more opportunities for us to meet them in person again and encourage them to get into the truth.
One Christian sister from Sonoma State University (SSU) attended a one-on-one Bible study with us and joined us for the college meeting yesterday. She is a sophomore at SSU and attended Christian schools before college. She shared with us that in high school she prayed that the Lord will make her hot for Him during college, but she was very disappointed in her freshman year and she couldn’t find any Christian group that is genuinely seeking the Lord. She said that she was disappointed that the Christian students here are lukewarm, and she kept saying that she is so excited that she found us! She enjoyed the college meeting last night and has made a good connection with the local saints. Please pray that the Lord will continue reviving this sister, increase her enjoyment in the church life, and companionize her with other sisters to pursue the Lord together. Please also pray for all the Christians at SSU, that the Lord will cast fire on this campus and turn the lukewarmness to fire.
Prayer burdens:
- 2-3 new students from SSU will come to the Lord’s table meeting at Novato tomorrow. Please pray that the Lord will keep their hearts soft and open and enjoy His presents at the meeting. They will visit San Francisco with the trainees in the afternoon. Please pray for more opportunities to strengthen the connection with these two students and to water the life in them.
- Please pray for the follow-up of the 44 contacts we met from door-knocking today. We will revisit the houses to deliver the Bible and may the Lord opens up more opportunities for us to meet them in person again.
- Please continue praying for the campus work at SSU, that next week will be a reaping week and the Lord will gain five core students and 15 solid contacts by the end of the gospel trip, and that these students will enjoy and remain in the sweet church life and be captured by a controlling vision of God’s economy.
- Please pray that the Lord would burden some young saints, families, and serving ones to move to this white field.
