Rancho Cucamonga, CA—Gospel Trip, Day 5

January 27, 2015

This morning at the BfA table at Chaffey College, students came to receive a free Bible. Six of the students also wanted to join a Bible study. Three students who were contacted prayed to receive the Lord.

In the nearby community we went out door-knocking. Of the doors that were answered, some were warm and many were not very open. However, we believe that many seeds were sown, especially in those who received a tract or a gospel invitation.

At tonight’s gospel meeting some of the local saints came in support and mutual encouragement. We also had a couple of new students who attended. After the speaking, some saints shared testimonies of their experiences of the Lord. Everyone in the room was refreshed by calling upon the name of the Lord together.

Prayer burdens:

  • Twenty remaining fruit in Rancho Cucamonga
  • Five English-speaking families to migrate to Rancho Cucamonga.

Merced, CA—Gospel Trip, Day 4

January 27, 2015

Praise the Lord for the supply of the Body of Christ. Today, we split into two different groups to contact people. UC Merced held its club fair today, so a group of us went to support the Christians on Campus table. We were able to gain a list of positive contacts and even schedule appointments with them later this week! A core student was so encouraged and burdened to preach the gospel after going out with some of us to contact students personally.

The other group, joined by saints from Fresno, CA and Auburn, CA, went door knocking in the Bellevue Ranch community. We knocked on over 100 doors, passed out 9 Bibles and other materials, scheduled follow-up appointments, and even saved an UC Merced student! May the Lord continue to bless and open all of the doors in the Mercd community as well as draw the seeking Christian students on the UC Merced campus!

Prayer burdens:

  • Pray that there would be the proper follow up with the UC Merced students and the community.
  • Pray for the BfA table on Merced Community College tomorrow.
  • Pray that we would be brought into the oneness for the outpoured blessing.

Fort Myers—Gospel Trip, Days 1-2

January 27, 2015

These past two days we went out to the campus and set up a table. We also passed out tracts, Bibles and other ministry books. When interacting with the students, we in general found them to be all open and easy to contact. Yesterday a girl with a Catholic background prayed to receive the Lord. We have over 90 contacts total. Our goal is to try to invite them to the Bible studies and home meetings and to eventually connect them to the local saints.

Huntsville, TX—Gospel Trip, Days 1-2

January 26, 2015

Praise the Lord for His testimony in Huntsville. Huntsville is a locality of a few families about one hour north of Houston. Huntsville is the location of Sam Houston State University (SHSU) with over 19,000 students. This week will be setting up a BfA table near the campus Student Center. We will also be blending with students at Texas A&M and UT Arlington. Today was our first day in Huntsville and we mainly spent our day with the saints enjoying the Lord through singing, praying and of course a delicious dinner made by the saints.

Monday was our first day on campus and the Lord blessed us! The students at SHSU are very open and hungry for the Word of God. The Lord provided the way to release the distribution of Bibles, ministry books, and tracts. Today, 68 New Testament Recovery Version, 90 ministry books, and 117 gospel tracts were distributed. Praise the Lord! The overall response of the students was positive with many being open to having another contact to read the Word. Many students were very grateful that we had come to their campus. We ended the day going out for dinner with the saints and with some of the students from SHSU with one of them bringing a friend. We were also able to give a Bible to some of the workers at the restaurant.

Colossians 4:3—Praying at the same time for us also, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ

Prayer burdens:

  • May the Lord strengthen His testimony in Huntsville!
  • May the release of His Word penetrate the college campus and community.
  • Pray for the team to utterly enjoy the Lord, to be so one with the Lord! That the distribution will be the overflow of our enjoyment of Christ.
  • Pray for all the Bible recipients to feed on the Word through reading their Bible.

Wickliffe, OH—Gospel Trip, Days 2-3

January 26, 2015

Activity highlights:

  • The Lord is doing marvelous things in Wickliffe, Ohio. We believe Satan suffered great loss as we went door knocking. Despite the weather, a snowy day, we rejoiced in the Lord and knocked on peoples’ doors. After door knocking we baptized a couple in their home during a birthday party.
  • Today, Monday 26th, we went to the local campuses, Cleveland State University and Case Western Reserve University ( CSU & CWRU). We were able to distribute 102 Bibles in total.
  • At CWRU, We gave away 38 bibles and had a number of students who wanted further contact this week. Most of these students who received a Bible also gave us their contact information. We were blessed to have many students from the club on campus and the local saints come and help with the table. In one occasion a student began a conversation about receiving the Recovery Version but was interrupted by a phone call. Despite being interrupted she kept coming back to the table to continue the conversation and received a Bible.
  • In another occasion a student came by even though he was rushing to class and was not a believer and took a Bible. To our surprise he came back after his class and we talked with him for an hour about the Lord and then he prayed with us to receive the Lord Jesus!
  • At CSU, we gave away 64 Bibles! Many students were so happy to receive a copy of the Recovery Version. Some visited the table twice to receive a copy for their friends and others brought their friends to receive their Bibles. One of them said that he was not interested but the other, after knowing that it was free, he gladly received a copy. The other student seeing that his friend said yes, also took the Bible. Praise the Lord! The responses from people was that of a “What? Free Bibles?”.
  • In another case, a student who had a booth of her club set beside us told us that she had received this same Bible before. This was our first contact with her. Praise the Lord for what He is doing in Wickliffe, Ohio.
  • A girl from Hong Kong called on the Lord and the sisters took her to read the Bible. She read the footnote. She was hungry for human contact. She wanted someone to spend time with her so we connected to the local saints right away.
  • Professors, administrators and staff came to the table to get their free Bibles. An administrator lowered the rental fee from $500 to $100. The brother presented to him the Recovery Version and said that it was awesome what we were doing. Praise the Lord!

Prayer burdens:

  • For the students’ Bible club to be established at CSU and CWRU
  • For the student from Hong Kong to be brought into the church life
  • For all the students who received a Recovery Version to be open for follow up contact
  • For the students who received the Lord to get baptized by the end of this week
  • For those who have been contacted to be brought into the church life, to be pillars in the church here in Wickliffe
  • For students to invite their friends to come to the table and receive free Bibles
