In Fresno State University, a brother asked a student if he wanted a Bible and he was willing to receive one. He was asked if John 3:16 was his favorite verse and the student said yes. The fellowship began by a question, “Do you believe this verse?” His answer was, yes. The brother then replied, “Now you need to say it out loud,” and showed him Romans 10:9-13. The brother again asked the student if he believed that He is Lord and that He died and was raised on the third day. The student said yes, and was led to call on the name of the Lord, and he said, “Oh Lord Jesus! I believe that You resurrected and I believe You” Praise the Lord that now this one has the life of God!

In Fresno City College, there was this student who was asked if he wanted a Bible. He nodded yes, and before the brother was able to explain about the Bible, he asked if there were Bible studies. The saints mentioned to him that it was the first time on this campus and that their hope is to get four or five interested students to get a Bible study started. His face lit up and he asked if they had gotten the four already and the team told him that he could be the first. Although he then seemed discouraged that there had not been anyone else interested yet, he was open and willing to give us his information to send him a text message when they would start.

During door-knocking, the saints went to a house and the garage was open. There was a young lady and they asked if her parents were home. She responded right away that she was old enough and they could talk to her. She was open and read the word with the saints, and even if her father came to get some part of conversation back and forth she never blinked an eye. She was very attracted to the speaking and was interested in a Bible study.

At another door, the saints asked a woman, “Do you believe God?” and she said yes. They then asked her what His name was and she answered that she didn’t know. They told her that His name is Jesus. That when we call on Him, as He is the Spirit, he enters into us, and they brought her to call on His name a few times. She had a hard time reading English but she understood it and got one because she had children. The saints then commanded her to call stronger and she obeyed. She called and she was saved!

Prayer Requests:

  • There will be a seminar on Fresno State University, at the library
  • There will be a Bible study in Clovis Community College, at the designated area for tabling
  • There will be a small Bible study at Fresno City College, Friday also at a designated area
  • These two days on campus, 36 students are open for further follow-up and gave us their contact information. Pray that those who were texted would continue to be open and that the Lord would bring many for the events listed above.
  • The Lord is doing so much just in two days that there is a big burden for a team to care for this harvest. Oh Lord, what about a team in Fresno and Clovis!

Fresno/Clovis, CA—Gospel Trip, Report 3

January 31, 2019

Today was the first day we went out to the campuses. Many saints plus the team started with coordination and morning revival. Teams were divided into two teams for two campuses, Fresno State University and Clovis Community College.

Statistics for Fresno State University:
• Tracts passed out: 116 • Bibles: 40 English, 5 Spanish • Basic Elements of the Christian Life: 45 • BfA cards: 75 • Contacts received: 7 • Prayed to receive the Lord: 3

Statistics for Clovis Community College:
• Bibles: 15 English, 1 Spanish • Basic Elements of the Christian Life: 9 • Contacts received: 6 • Prayed to receive the Lord: 1

In Fresno State University there was this student who was approached by a sister and who offered her a Bible. The Bible was opened and explained to her. John 3:16 was mentioned, and they read the verse together. There was fellowship on receiving and believing. She felt that she never realized this and never heard that to believe you had to receive. She was also showed 1 Thessalonians 5:23 about how she can receive the Lord in her Spirit. The saints shared the illustration of the radio. which receives the radio waves. The Lord is the Spirit and when you receive Him, He enters into you. Right after, she received the Lord and they ended the prayer by saying thank You Lord for coming into me, I receive You right now. Come into me and fill me with peace.

In Clovis Community College there was a student who was interested in the Bible, and when the saints asked her if she knew about the Bible and she said very little. A sister led her to the story about Nicodemus, about entering into the womb of the mother. They fellowshipped about the Spirit, the mystery of human life, and death and sin. She was told that she was a vessel and God wanted to enter into her. She was asked that if she knew who God was when He entered into the earth, and she said no. She was told that His name was Jesus. He came to earth, needed to die to become the Life-giving Spirit to enter into her, and that she needed to pray to receive Him. She was impressed and prayed to receive the Lord.

Prayer Burdens:

  • That the Lord would release a room at Clovis Community College for a seminar and a room for Bible study
  • The seminar, Tuesday and Wednesday at Fresno State University
  • That the Lord would gain 5 remaining fruit from the time today on both campuses
  • That the 4 that received the Lord would have come to the seminars on campus this week

St. Louis, MO—Gospel Trip, Report 4

January 30, 2019

Sunday, 1/27/2019, all the trainees joined the Lord’s Table meeting in the church in St. Louis. It was a sweet time to see and blend with all the saints who labor together for God’s move. In the afternoon, we went to the city museum with YP, college students and local saints.

Monday, 1/28/2019, we went again to University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL). We passed out 80 Bibles and many tracts. We received 44 contacts. Also we had some appointments with the students and staff members we met last week. The follow-up appointments were very encouraging to see so many seeking ones in UMSL.

Overall, the Lord blessed us these days. Thank the Lord for all the contacts and all the mutual shepherding among the saints.

Prayer Burdens:

  • The Lord will be our discernment to screen out the real seeking ones and shepherd them into the church life
  • The Lord will cover the weather so that nothing will frustrate God’s move
  • The Lord will revive and raise up many saints to shepherd the new contacts.
