Hamilton/St. Catharines, ON—Gospel Trip, Report 4

February 11, 2018

In the past couple days we were able to preach the gospel at two branches of Niagara College, Welland and Niagara on the Lake, as well as distribute more Bibles at Brock University. Between the two days, we were able to pass out well over 400 tracts and over 40 Bibles. Additionally, three students were led to receive the Lord.

Today, we had the opportunity to blend with the local saints from St. Catharines and Hamilton. We visited various landmarks around the area including the Niagara Falls. Previous days were packed with activities, so today served as a good rest day for all the participants in the GTCA.

A couple hours ago, we received an incredibly encouraging email via Bibles for Canada from one of the Bible recipients at Brock University. In the email, the student suggests that he is genuinely seeking the Lord and would like to be baptized again. We hope that we will have the opportunity to meet up with this one in the near future and perhaps baptize Him at an upcoming table meeting. Hallelujah for the hungry ones that the Lord has placed in our hands!

Prayer Burdens:

  • Please pray that all 70 of the Bibles distributed at Brock University would be able to feed the students that received them.
  • Please pray for the weather in Southern Ontario, as our travel to visit saints in nearby cities may be hindered by heavy snowfall.
  • Please pray that all the participants in the GTCA will remain healthy and finish the gospel trip victoriously.

2/9/18
Today, we headed down to one of the tri-cities, Pasco, and handed out 35 Bibles. In the evening, many of the saints from the eastern part of Washington came down to Richland to get ready for the upcoming blending conference. In the evening, we had a meeting where all the saints gathered to eat, and fellowship. Afterwards, we prepared sack lunches with all the saints, including the young people and children for the upcoming blending conference. The time was awesome!

2/10/18
Today, we attended a blending conference with about 120 saints in Eastern Washington. The speaking brothers covered material from the past winter training on Leviticus. In between the messages we had a time of lunch, and got to fellowship with several of the saints attending the meetings. The speaking was focused on experiencing Christ as the burnt offering and the sin offering, and it was very rich. Afterwards, we visited two saints in their homes in Richland. One of the families has been in the peripheral of the church life, so we hope that our visitation would have some profit and draw these saints to enter strongly into the church life.

El Paso, TX—Gospel Trip, Report 8

February 11, 2018

This would be our last report for the gospel trip in El Paso. We are thankful with the Lord for the laboring time and the fruits. The new students/contacts were connected to community saints and our students today in the cookout and informed about the coming college conference. Our prayer is for these new ones who are really open and seeking to continue to be shepherded and continue going on in the Lord, for our students to get into the word and for the community saints and the church in El Paso to join the Lord in prayer for His move in this campus.

Clovis/Merced/Madera, CA—Gospel Trip, Report 7

February 11, 2018

2/8/18 The saints gathered together at Fresno meeting hall to coordinate the gospel work for the day. Two teams went to Fresno City College and Clovis Community College. The rest of the saints went door-knocking in the near by neighborhood.

At Fresno City College, many students came by to get a study Bible, that we ran out in an hour! Many were willing to have further contact and those who couldn’t have one expressed interest to have a Bible too! One student, Andrew, has set up an appointment with the saints to meet the next day to have a Bible study.

The door-knocking team brings equally encouraging news too. Many doors were open and seven Bibles were handed out in a short time. The local saints expressed their nervousness in the very beginning, but once they get to the first open door, they were filled with the Spirit and with joy.

Prayer burden:

  • Please pray for the further contact of these new ones that the Lord would release the proper shepherds.

2/9/18 Many local saints came to Fresno meeting hall for coordination and prayer this morning. It is very encouraging to see saints willingly offer their time, from work and from family to spend time in the gospel. A college age brother who very enthusiastically joined the team this morning was especially encouraging to all the saints. There were tables in Fresno State & Clovis Community College, and three door-knocking teams going out in one accord!

The saints also set up appointment today with two new contacts to have a Bible study with them. One of the contacts, A, has a hunger for the ministry. Before the saints met him, he had finished four chapters of Basic Elements of the Christian Life and wanting to get another Bible and Basic Elements of the Christian Life for his grandmother. Andrew was joyful to know what salvation really means and told the saints that he knows now he is really saved. The saints have set up a time with him next week.

The door-knocking team in Clovis initially has some issues, as they lost the map of the location for door-knocking. However, by the Lord’s sovereignty, they ended up in a new neighborhood, almost entirely Spanish-speaking. All the members in the team speaks Spanish, thus everyone was functioning. The coordination was sweet and many Bibles were passed out in the process.

The other door-knocking team in Kerman was also experiencing the readiness of the harvest. Of the first three houses they visited, they handed out three Bibles! The neighborhood was very open to the Lord’s Word, contacts were gained who are willing to have a Bible study and future follow-up.

Prayer burdens:

  • Pray that the Lord will preserve A and the enemy would be bound.
  • Pray for the last day of the gospel trip, that all saints will enjoy the Lord in the coordination, and will regain their strength.
  • Pray for the follow-up of the contacts gained on campus, at the flea market & door-knocking.

February 10, 2018

2/7/18 Today we went to a park in Richland called Howard Amon Park, and we were able to pass out 28 Bibles. The brothers in Richland had a burden that we would visit some of the families and blend with them. In the evening time, we split up into two groups and visited two homes around the Richland area. Our experience at the saints’ home was very sweet. After dinner and fellowship we drove over to another saint’s home for prayer meeting. During the prayer meeting, some of the trainees went with a brother to visit some more saints. We feel that the Lord had an opportunity to release fellowship and blending through all our visits.

2/8/18 Today we began our day with coordination and fellowship. We then waited until 2pm and headed to a city called Walla Walla. We arrived at 3:15pm at met up with some Russia- speaking saints, and headed over to the downtown area. We were able to pass out 35 Bibles. Afterwards, we had a small group meeting at the Russian saints’ home. It was very sweet time of fellowship and singing, and we got to meet some of the children of this family and their friends.

Prayer burdens:

  • Pray for the visited families; that the Lord would revive them and bring them fully into the church life.
  • Pray for the young Russian college students and their friends; that the Lord would be able to gain them during their college years.
  • This upcoming weekend we have a local blending conference for the saints in Eastern Washington. - Pray that the Lord would be with the speaking brothers as they release the Lord’s burden, and bring all the saints safely.

Total: 14 Basic Elements of the Christian Life 35 Bibles
