Lexington, KY—Gospel Trip, Report 3
We had another sweet opportunity to table outside in the University of Kentucky (UK). Although there were fewer students who stopped by the table, they overall seemed more open to receive Bibles and to meet with other Christians than on previous days. We went out in twos and threes to talk to students and hand out gospel tracts. There were a few faculty members who stopped by and expressed appreciation for our being on the campus. We are still emphasizing making strong personal connections with students, keeping our schedules flexible to match the students’ when they are available. May the Lord continue to bring the seeking students!
We also had our first Bible study on campus. There was a new couple who joined us. The brother is a researcher from South Korea. The sister told us that she really enjoyed our group and that she wanted to continue participating. They are also open to be in the homes of the saints.
Statistics:
- Bibles distributed: 22
Prayer Burdens:
- Pray for the Lord would continue to cover the health of the trainees here in Lexington.
- Pray that the Lord would bring many seeking students to the Bible study this Thursday and for the establishment of a Bible study on UK for the Lord’s word to be released.
- Pray that the couple will be able to come to the home meeting on Friday and be connected with the saints in Lexington.
Charlotte, NC—Gospel Trip, Report 1
The Charlotte, NC team arrived on Saturday January 25th. On the next day, the team attended the table meeting at the meeting hall of the Church in Charlotte, followed by sweet lunch fellowship in the homes of the local saints. In the evening, the local responsible brothers, 3 full-timers from Atlanta, and 1 BFA serving one provided an orientation to the team. The brothers emphasized the crucial importance of spending adequate morning time with the Lord before joining team coordination and gospel activities, because our work should be an overflow of life. The full-timers also shared their experience of learning to fellowship and coordinate.
During the first team coordination on Monday, January 27th, the full-timers conducted a short training on how to present the uniqueness of the Recovery version, a study Bible translated from the perspective of the economy of God. After the coordination, the team set up the BFA table in the student union of UNC Charlotte. In a short period of 3.5 hours, we handed out 42 tracts and 60 Bibles and had conversations with a total of 47 students, among whom 33 signed up for further contact.
In the evening, the team attended the college meeting hosted by nearby community saints. We enjoyed the Lord together with 7 college students from Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) and UNC Charlotte along with many local saints.
Prayer Burdens:
- At least 30 saints would migrate to Charlotte for the strengthening of the Lord’s testimony and the spreading of the kingdom of God in Charlotte
- A team of 6 full-timers would be established to serve at UNC Charlotte
- 33 students who signed up for further contact would come to the gospel meeting at UNC Charlotte on Thursday, January 30th
Orlando, FL—Gospel Trip, Report 2
Tuesday (1/28/20)
We had coordination and prayer, and then split up six trainees to go to the UCF main campus, and the other six to go to Valencia East. At UCF, we tabled in a free speech zone, which happened to be across from a preacher on a microphone. To avoid students thinking we were associated, we moved the table down the walkway and had a few students walk by. Another table was set up at UCF along a busier walkway and received more interest. Three students prayed to receive the Lord!
We set up one table at Valencia East. There were several students who were interested in coming to dinners and home meetings to get connected with the local saints. We had another home meeting at night and two new ones from Valencia College came. We enjoyed a potluck style dinner, sang hymns, and read verses in John 6 correlating to the tract, “Is Jesus in Your Boat?”

Pittsburgh, PA/ Morgantown, WV—Gospel Trip, Report 2
January 27-28th
After our times of fellowship, prayer, and coordination in the morning, we split into two groups to table at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). We spent approximately three hours on each campus handing out Bibles, The Mystery of Human Life tracts, and invitations to Christians on Campus events and the upcoming Bible seminar on Saturday.
Our statistics over the last two days:
- Tracks: 1067
- Bibles: 45
- Contacted: 78
- Second Appointments: 1
On Monday evening, the majority of the trainees went to a couple’s home for dinner and fellowship. The couple made pho for us, and then, after some singing, they shared their testimonies of how they came into the church life. We were really encouraged to hear the testimonies of His loving seekers who have come out of the fold and into the pasture!
On Tuesday evening, the whole team got together for prayer and fellowship, followed by dinner in the local saints’ home. After dinner, we gathered to pray for our labor on the campuses and all the gospel trips around the country.
Prayer Burdens:
- Pray for the Lord to release students that are available for second appointments, Bible studies, and/or the Bible seminar on Saturday.
- Pray for more families to be added to the church in Pittsburgh, including more children and young people.
London/ Guelph, ON—Gospel Trip, Report 2
On Monday January 27th, as a team we went to Western University and King’s College to set up a BfC table, pass out flyers for the Bible seminar on Friday, and preach the gospel on campus. The students were very receptive to the tables with many receiving a Bible, and a number of them praying with us to receive the Lord. Unfortunately, however, we will be unable to table the rest of the week at King’s College.
Today the team split into two separate teams. One team went to a town called Aylmer for a Bible distribution, and the other team went to a town called Thamesville to host a BfC (Bibles for Canada) seminar. In total there were 33 adults, 3 of which we had never met before and a number of saints of the Mennonite background who within the last year came into the Lord’s recovery. Although it was not a big number, all who attended felt it was a very sweet and uplifting time of blending for all the saints in the area. There are many saints scattered throughout southwest Ontario and times of blending such as these are really treasured. A word was spoken on the blessings to the church in Ephesians 1: the Father’s choosing, the Son’s redeeming, and the Spirit’s sealing and pledging. Afterward the saints got together in small groups to read and enjoy the footnotes and cross references of these marvelous blessings. Some of the full-timers and FTTA trainees will stay around Dresden for the night and have breakfast with the saints in the morning. Praise the Lord for blending the saints together in this part of the province!
