Stillwater—Gospel Trip, Report 2
Greetings from Stillwater, Oklahoma. We began contacting students OSU Monday, January 28, and the Lord has really blessed the labor. OSU is the second-largest university in Oklahoma with one of the largest student unions in America. The students at OSU are really well-mannered and responded warmly to the gospel and to the Word.
We handed out flyers to the students to invite them to the welcome dinner on Tuesday evening, January 29, and received contact information for those who were interested in receiving information on Bible studies. There were many students who were open to conversations about Christ and many students gave us their contact information.
Monday evening we had a dinner at the saints’ home. It was a sweet time of blending. We shared our testimonies with one another and we marveled at the Lord’s sovereignty in how he brought the saints to Stillwater from different places and walks of life.
The following day, we continued handing out invitations to the dinner. We handed out a total of 123 flyers across the two days and 48 students gave us their information for further contact. We concluded our stay in Stillwater with a welcome dinner at Hideaway Pizza. There were two students who came and had dinner with us and the saints. We really enjoyed our time with them and believe that they will continue to go on strongly with the local saints.

Fresno/Clovis, CA—Gospel Trip, Report 6
In Fresno City College, the team had contacted a student who wanted a Bible study. He sent a message that day that he was feeling under the weather, but the team still made it there to meet another student. As the team waited, they went to the cafeteria and saw a student watching videos on his phone. They sat down and started to begin to have a conversation with him. At the beginning asking him questions was a bit difficult, but the team hoped that they were able to see his need. First, his major was the same as one of the trainees. Then, there began a connection from where his parents are from to that same trainee’s sending locality. Eventually, he mentioned a few things about his growing up in Catholic school and it opened up a way for the team to start to talk about his reading of the word. He was asked his favorite story and He opened up about Abraham offering his son. He mentioned he couldn’t understand, but the team shared with him how that story connects to Jesus being offered to God for us. He was then asked if he had ever received the Lord, which he replied that he honestly wouldn’t know. That opened another way to share with him that he had a spirit. That man was created in the same image as God, that He is Spirit and He went through an entire process to become the Life-giving Spirit and that now he can enter into his being. The team leads this one to pray and receive the Lord and shared that he can contact the Lord whenever and wherever he is. The Lord is faithful to appear.
During door-knocking, the last house was a former Presbyterian who got saved eight years ago and was solid in the truth, with the same beliefs that we have, and was open to fellowship with Christians. His understanding with the Triune God was pretty impressive and he was like an elder in his other church. He mentioned that he was wide open. He was a good one to fellowship with. He is not peculiar. He says that he doesn’t like to argue about the small things, so a brother inoculated Him. He prayed and received a Bible.
At Walmart, from the setting up, people were wanting to know what the saints had. There was a woman asked if she had ever read the word. She says that yes, but when she does read she falls asleep. The saints realized and shared that even in our living there is something to infuse. She was impressed that others read the word on the phone.
Matthew 9:37-38

Fresno/Clovis, CA—Gospel Trip, Report 5
In Fresno State University, there was a student eating her lunch, and the saints talked to her and asked her if she had ever read the Bible. The student responded yes, that she grew up Christian and had her Bible in her backpack. The saints asked her which version she read, she pulled out her own Bible, and they read Matthew 1:1. After reading the verse and footnote, she decided to receive the Recovery Version and the saints let her go. As the student was walking into the building, a sister ran to her and mentioned that there was a seminar upstairs and she was happy and open to go. When she went to the seminar, the front door said no food or drinks so she came back to the student and told her. The sister told her that she could leave her food with her and come back for it when they are done. In the seminar, the topic was on John 6, about Jesus being in you boat. There was discussion on that section and she participated and shared that to take Jesus into your boat is to take Him into your life and situation. Afterwards, they all prayed together and invited Him to their lives right then. At the end before she left, she filled out the survey. The question asked, “What she enjoy the most or what was the most interesting?” She responded with one word, “Acceptance.” When the saints are standing on this flow, there is an automatic expression. All those that are contacted will notice, continue being under the flow!

St. Louis, MO—Gospel Trip, Report 6
Praise the Lord for all that He has done in St. Louis! On Friday, we saw a glorious consummation for our trip. After the morning coordination, the team went to Saint Louis University (SLU) for the Bible distribution. In addition to the tabling at SLU, there were four follow-up appointments. One of the follow-up appointments was particularly noteworthy: Elijah met with a student named H, who is very open but is thoroughly preoccupied by his own concepts of what the meaning of human life is. Such a one seemed “impossible” to save and “impossible to baptize,” but through the fervent, deeply anointed prayer of the saints during morning coordination, we were able to enter into the realm of the impossible and H was thoroughly subdued and immediately consented to be baptized.
Two trainees also had a follow-up appointment with a freshman at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, who is very guarded but seeking. After about 30 minutes of conversation, she opened up about her fear of her weakened faith in the Lord, given recent personal experiences and observations of Christians around her. We spoke to her about how Christ has increasingly become our reality and how that is exactly what He is after, to become so real to us that we live with and to Him in all we do. At the end of the appointment, she expressed the desire to be surrounded by genuine believers who are sincerely pursuing the Lord. We will continue to shepherd her until she is open enough to be connected to the local saints.
In the evening, we had the college meeting and four students from the Washington University in St. Louis attended. The students had a morning revival program, where each student paired with another student or a trainee to have the morning revival together over the phone for one week. During the college meeting, there was the overflow from the experience of having the morning revival program, and the students overall had a positive experience.
We also had another in-reaping meeting at sister Shuyi’s home for the brand new ones, seven of which came. The time was very warm, many connections and handoffs were made to the local saints, and H was baptized there. Praise the Lord! One of the new ones brought her younger sister who is a junior in high school. Although they were both shy, they genuinely enjoyed the time, especially when they were able to spend some time with two young local sisters close to their age. These two new ones are currently seeking a group of genuine believers to call their family. May the Lord build them into the Church in St. Louis!
On Saturday, morning, we gathered with the GTCA team and local saints for our final coordination. We had much prayer and fellowship about how to care for the most open new ones long-term. Afterward more local saints joined for an overflow meeting, which was full of precious overflow from the saints of their experience from these two weeks and how it affected them. One local saint mentioned this time has given her the desire to attend the middle-age training in the future. It was clear that both the trainees, visiting and local saints experienced a sweet time of blending, service and coordination. The trainees were encouraged to come back to visit or migrate and encourage our fellow trainees and saints across the country to come blend in St. Louis.
There was a definite theme to our gospel trip: mutuality. We were mutually shepherded by the saints; the gospel labor was one in mutuality; the cherishing was mutual; the building up of the Body in love was mutual. Praise Him! We love all the dear saints in St. Louis! May the Lord strengthen His testimony in the gateway to the West!
Prayer Burdens:
- The desperate need for job dropping full-time serving ones to labor on the local college campuses
- More migration of solid young couples to St. Louis to strengthen the church and care for new ones
- Five remaining fruit through the contacts gathered during the GTCA trip
- Raising up of many saints in St. Louis with a burden for the follow-up and to care for the new ones
- Effective follow-up with the open and seeking contacts made during the GTCA trip
